I see that a lot of users are talking about wet and dry food. I was reading something about it and I can see that people have different opinion which is OK.
I actually don’t have any opinion about this because I was feeding all my cats with both – wet and dry cat food.
But I really want to know what do you think about this? Can you tell me what is your opinion about this subject?
So let’s talk about wet cat food vs dry cat food?

Wet cat food – it is much cheaper and it doesn’t mean that this food is better. Check the ingredients. At this list it should be an animal protein source with a lot of ingredients and they should not contain meat products. Wet food can also lead to dental problems such as gingivitis but it also is not an issue if you go with your pet to the regular dental cleanings.
Dry food – can lead to dehydration. Many low quality foods contain lot of fillers and they are not good for your pets.
I know that I have forgot a lot of things. But I just can’t remember all of them.

Also this food is rich in proteins and other essential nutrients. Very high moisture content in water helps to keep your cat hydrated and it can support urinary tract health in cats. Wet food is also very powerful because it is lower in carbs most than dry foods and sometimes this beneficial. It is good for those pets who are food sensitive. About dry food – it has its benefits but it is much better when you add some water in it.

You were talking about the wet food and it pros, but even if I don’t feed my dog with any of those foods, I know that dry food has a lot of pros as well. Generally, it is cheaper than wet food. It has much better ingredients that are more quality than wet food. Dry good is also the most convenient type of food for cat when it comes about storage and cleaning. You don’t need to put it in the fridge to keep it fresh. It promotes oral health and wet food doesn’t.

But lately I am avoiding dry food. A lot of different fact we do know about dry cat foods. Many people believe that cats on a mainly dry food have a bigger chance to get diabetes because this food is really high in carbos. A huge carbo content is found in this food.

Dry food has a lot of advantages, but the wet food has more water content.
Ideally is to choice both, wet and dry food because it will offer everything that your cat needs in diet program.
Wet food will help her have enough water and dry food will help to keep dental bases healthy.
My advice is to mix them.

Now when I am reading all your posts I still have to wonder which food is the best – dry or wet for my cat? As far as I can see, both foods have their prons and cons.
My friend Emily feeds her cat with dry food. And just with dry food.
I told her that she should mix it with wet food or at least to add some water in her dry food but she doesn’t want to do that.
She told me that her vet told her that dry food is the best choice because benefits are amazing.
Her cat is healthy and so far she didn’t have any problems.
