For the past 3 weeks my throat hurts but only when I yawn. It seems to be that it hurts to be stretched, like its kind of tight or something when I do yawn, anyone know what's going on?
I've been experiencing this exact same thing and would love any insight on the matter. My throat gets a very dull but powerful pain when I yawn, and for the first week or so it was only yawning but now it's progressing so that when I swallow I also feel it very slightly. I feel perfectly fine in every other regard and am not coughing or congested. I've had strep throat at least 5 times in my life and am very aware of the type of throat pain I get when I have strep, and this is something completely different.

I too have had strep throat approximately 5 times in my life and just finished having it a week ago. My throat is great except when I yawn. It is very painful and feels like my throat is being stretched out. I wish I knew what this meant. It's never happened before.
