My husband developed very bad case of TMJ (temporomandibular joint disorder) years ago.
He went to see a few different practitioners and the conclusion was that his jaw is not the source of his pain, but tight muscles from other parts of his body were. They were pulling the jaw, causing pain. I am not sure what can we do, he is always on diet. Did anyone experience this condition? I would like to hear some.
In my case, physical therapist helped me a lot with TMJ. He has specialized ergonomics, posture training and body alignment, he looked at my body as a whole but his treatment helped me a lot. I had some knotted muscles on my left shoulder and right tie…anyway all those things were the cause of my TMJ. I also felt pain in my jaw.
