I’m on day 12, I’m still in tons of pain, my burning sensation is more of like when you are chewing on minty gum and drink ice water, it hurts my throat so bad. I’ve been experiencing this since day 5. It’s a horrid process. On day 9 I woke up at 4am choking on blood. I lost so much blood that I ended up passing out and had to be ran to the Emergency room. This is by far the most horrendous recovery i have ever been through. I’ve never missed food and water so much. I have lost 20+ lbs because i haven’t been able to eat. Before my surgery I was 117lbs. This is a brutal recovery process and I am so so so ready to be back to normal. Good luck to anyone who is having this surgery.
