hi im having my tonsils removed at age 16 how long dose it take to recover before i can start talking agin
I had mine removed at 18, and for the first few days I was incredibly horse and communicated via hand gestures. I don't remember the exact day when I was able to communicate normally, probably around day 11. The strength of my voice returned before then, but I was in terrible pain until day 10 and didn't want to speak anyway. I was able to talk (err... mumble whisper?) right after getting out of surgery, it was just awful and I tried to avoid it.
