Hi. I'm 14, and i have this feeling i have touretts.
I have constant blinking of the eyes, moving my head like i am saying ''no'', and i cant focuss unless i have something to fidget with. but when i fidget with something, i just throw it around, which causes more of a distraction. Also when i get home from school, i start banging my head on my bedroom wall, but i try to control that, because it hurts after a while.
The constant blinking is really annoying, and at first i thought i was blinking because i couldnt see. My mother tells me to stop blinking, but as hard as i try, i cant. The blinking only happens at least 9 or 10 times a day, sometimes more if i am nervous.

I've seen touretts through siblings of my friends, and i know what its like. Before my friend's brother died, i had experienced the touretts where you twitch and yell things out.

In the middle of class, i sometimes just call out "um thats!", but i wasn't even aware of saying it.
My teacher asked if what she wrote on the board was wrong, but it wasnt.

I sometimes get weird looks from some people, but to me by now, it just feels normal.

I also have a problem with controlling my emotions. Like when i am sad, i'll hit myself in the head and always ask, "why why why".... but i have no idea why i am saying ''why''.
Anger, is also something i have a problem controlling.

I really hope someone can help me.
Hey 14 year old! You should definitely have this checked out. There are medications which will help with the tics. There is counseling which helps you and your family learn to deal with your situation. I have a son with Touretts, he is now 18. His tics lessened as he got older. There are some good self help books that will help you learn about meds, side effects, and even famour people with Touretts. Don't feel like this has ruined your life!!
