I had trichomonisis a month ago; it was diagnosed by vaginal discharge examination. I treated it with metronidazole, single oral dose. But 2 weeks after, symptoms reappeared and were just the same. I did not have sex after took metronidazole. Can it be trichomonisis again, or what? Should I take the drug again?

It may be uncured trichomoniasis in the case that the drug you took was not well absorbed. There are some drugs which when taken with other drugs at the same time, can decrease the amount of drug in blood and unable it to expose the effect. Using alcohol with metronidazole can cause vomiting and that is the way that drug can be excreted and also ineffective. I guess that you should have smear test again and the drug if it would be needed.
