Okay so I got my tubes tied in 2012 and I have always had a regular period and never missed a period!! My question is I’m really scared cause my last period was may 7th 2018 here it is June 14th 2018 I did take 1 test like 1 week ago it said negative now I’m not so sure what too do if I should retest can someone please give me some advice. I had my tubes tied in 2003 I'm 39yrs old I will be 40 next year. My cycle is currently 18 days late. I've contacted my GYN and was told that because of my age its normal. I was reading online and it could possibly be the onset of menopause. I took a home pregnancy test and it was negative. Just went this morning to have labs done, so that she can check my hormone levels and see what is going on. I also asked if they could do a pregnancy test just for GP, but I'm almost positive that that's not the case. No matter the age I believe as a woman we all have that yearning to have another little person. Although I would be elated if that were the case, but sadly I may have to accept that I am getting older and I could just be going through menopause early.
