I am thin also and like I said  I have had the problem all my life.  48 year old male Now. Not sure what is going  for sure but food sensitivities and proper flora balance are probably key. The fiber grain powders do help but I feel they are only masking the real problem. Also if you are celiac or have food sensitivities these fiber grains can be contaminated with wheat and other gluten molecules. So as soon as the amount taken is not enough the problem will come right back. The cure for most of us will probably be to avoid what ever bothers us totally. If its wheat, dairy, tomato sauce ,  coffee , maybe stress or some combination of them. You have to find out using the elimination diet taking out all the probable offenders, then bring only one back after 5 to 7 days at a time to see what bothers you. Document what happens. In my case the discharge goes away when I stop eating dairy & wheat 24 hours  after consumption. My stools are better but not totally happy with the formation but a big improvement. I feel for me at this point a quality dairy & gluten free probiotic would add the finishing touch to being normal for a change.  The problem with probiotics are that they are not gluten and dairy free and they are not refrigerated to keep them fresh. Natural doctors can sell them , that would be a good place to start. But even probiotics will not stop the problem totally if you are eating a food irritant. Also if you take out the wheat, take out all grains except rice & potatoes to play it safe because gluten is in all grain but most people are ok with rice. Bring back one grain at a time until a reaction occurs unless you enjoy seeing doctors and running a bunch of test for the next 20 years with no results. Sounds like NO BODY IS GETTING RESULTS FROM THE DOCTORS. Time to help yourself. If you want to find a mask to treat the problem fine, but you will never heal or find out what is really going on. High end probiotics is a good start but I feel the root of the problem is food sensitivities in a nut shell. Some of us could have a digestive disease of some kind like celiac, crons, IBS, they could all really be same disorder anyway, but it was probably brought on by genetics , stress, environmental factors , and yes simple food allergies , causing inflammation which could turn ugly at some point. Thats my 2 cents. I am hoping to have a better understanding of what is going on soon. The doctors do not know how can I know. But I can tell you the symptoms at least in my case get a lot better when targeting certain foods. Good luck.

23 year old male here.

This problem is absolutely pissing me off. Every time I have a bowel movement, my stool would leak and it would not matter what I ate. It would itch and burn. Doctor could not figure it out so he sent me to a GI doctor who performed a colonoscopy. He found an internal hemorrhoid but said it cannot be the problem.

Now I'm having a problem when I exercise. When I run, it causes the leakage which irritates my hemorrhoid which in turn, causes me to bleed! I'm trying to get healthy here! Have tried eating fruits and veggies, along with supplements for the hemorrhoids but cannot get rid of that either.

Tried the florastor but haven't seen any improvements. Although applying rectal hemorrhoid cream does help as it blocks the leakage.

It sucks to be 23 and have this problem. :(

I have had this problem all my life. Like I said I am 48 now. I to had internal hemorrhoids found during a recent colonoscopy. I could not have had the roids when I was 11 so early. So it is unrealistic to think the problem is from the roids. Leaking fluid or what I call sweaty butt. The hemorrhoids  are probably from food allergies and is causing inflammation in your colon possibly from wiping a lot because the food is not digesting well. This could cause more problems later in life. Try going off most if not all grain & dairy for a week  and see what happens. With me I get a positive result within 48 hours and return to all most normal if I add gluten & dairy free probiotics that need to be refrigerated. It is important to know what is irritating you so you can eliminate them from your diet. Did you notice most of the doctors do not ask what you are eating???? That is pretty strange. If it turns out to be a grain , find out which one. They all contain gluten, but wheat is usually the worst followed by corn then oats. Rice is (gladian free ) which is usually the worst gluten protein not tolerated by most people. Try just rice and potatoes for your carbs to play it safe for a week and see what happens if it fixes the problem then you will find out what is causing the problem by bringing back one grain at a time. Stay away from dairy until you figure out what grain if any is causing your problem then bring back dairy to check results. Watch out for soy as well and some cooking oils are bad. Corn, safflower, grapeseed, vegetable, conola, are all reall bad. Extra virgin olive oil & extra virgin coconut ,& walnut oils are best. You will notice they are the most expensive as well. If it turns out you are sensitive to any grains or dairy you will have to educate your self because the stuff is in everything. Contamination is everywhere. READ. Hope this helps.

Still not out of the woods.  Taking the Konsyl fiber powder seems to have caused more bloating and gas, so my stools have still not been consistently healthy (the pattern seems to be two large floating ones at once).  Overall, though, not as much leakage or itching or burning.  The sad thing is that I look forward to a day of constipation, because then there's no bowel movement and thus no symptoms to speak of... but then the following day it's worse, of course.  For now, I'm trying to adjust my intake of the Konsyl—I'm assuming that somewhat less is better to avoid the bloating—a 2/3 dose twice a day.

This coming week I should be hearing from my gastroenterologist, and maybe he can enlighten me a bit more about food sensitivities before the endoscopy.  A few weeks ago, I had a three-day stretch with totally healthy stools, but I'm not sure if I just happened to avoid certain foods—a couple of my daily staples are bananas and oatmeal (unless I run out), and, come to think of it, they've both been staples since around the time this irritation started, especially the oatmeal (as a way to get protein to help gain weight).

I do get weird feelings in my throat after certain foods, but I'm also dealing with a frozen shoulder, which shoots spasms through my collarbone to my throat when it's bad (though it's much better since I've been exercising and stretching).  So it's hard to tell an allergy from a spasm.

And of course stress makes everything worse!

...and I find that just being hungry can make it worse as well.  There have been a few times I've eaten something filling (like a fast-food chicken sandwich) and felt better the rest of the day.  Can't say for sure if that's consistently true, though.

So I got another injection into the external hemorrhoid a few days ago, because the doc doesn't know why the first time it didn't work... go figure

and gets what another cream prescribed... I feel like I am a rat in an experiment.

The doc's explanation was that "I think it's a skin issue", Yet he hasn't taken and samples from the flakey irritated skin to see what it could possibly be.

As for the food issues I don't know if that could be the case for me because my diet consists of solely veggies, fruit, and little grain and fish... No dairy or meats

I am going to keep trying Psyllium Husks Powder and hope that my stools move easier.

Should I try a new doctor? Maybe a dermatologist?

I'm intending to get to a dermatologist in the near future. I've had issues with rashes and dry skin elsewhere, too. Sometimes I even have red marks across my chest after I get out of the shower.

I do get a bit of an allergic reaction from the peels or rinds of fruits, so I wouldn't count on fruits being totally blameless.

I know... round and round with the doctors... feels like there's no end, and it's a subject no one wants to talk about openly, including many doctors. Good luck! It's good to get checked by a dermatologist periodically anyway.

Hi,

I have quite the same condition.

- very 'sweaty' ass after sitting or walking for some time
- have to 'go to the bathroom' quite often
- have to fart a lot
- often noises from the lower belly

I made a doctor's appointment for tomorrow.
I'll post here afterwards

greets

Yeah I have a dermo appt soon for these red patches i developed on my upper body in 3 spots, 2 months ago. But I will mention this also.

I'll let you know if she says anything, next colorectal appt is in a few weeks and the hemorrhoid did not fall off (Dr. said it should bleed a little and fall off with in a few days...) I wish he'd just cut the damn thing off already!

Hmm, I'm starting to see that seeds may be part of my problem.  There've been a few times, including today, where I've reached back (very carefully) with a finger or two and then come back with an actual sesame seed, or with something that looks like a grain of sand, and then the irritation is largely gone for the day, though not the sweatiness.

The Konsyl is still not totally solving the incomplete bowel movement problem, but I'm not getting as much rumbling in the bowel, or bloating.  I'm gradually increasing the dosage, toward the "heaping teaspoonful" they recommend.  Just a couple more probiotics left in the bottle, so I have to decide if I'll continue with that.  The guy at the health food store was also recommending digestive enzymes, but I haven't noticed anyone else suggesting those.

It seems food allergies seems to be playing a big part. I thought I had most of the triggers down but the sweaty butt came back yesterday after being fine for 4 days or more staying away from wheat & dairy. Now it turns out coconut is a BIG PROBLEM. After  drinking a qt of the coconut milk I had a lot of irritation and liquid sweat dripping out of my butt. The blood type diet ( EAT RIGHT FOR YOUR BLOOD TYPE) suggests coconut is not good for blood type B like me. I did stand up for this diet for awhile but backed off because it said I was fine with most dairy and I am not. I am thinking of applying some of that diet with non dairy or limited dairy & ( wheat free) for awhile because I really feel that food allergies are 100% the problem with everybody having this problem or related conditions. Anybody that thinks they are going to a doctor or gastro doc is going to fix the problem is just raising health care insurance premiums. Some of them may really know what is going on , but most have very little nutrition experience. If you do not believe me look up the qualifications to become a doctor. Very little experience. They just want to make ( MONEY ). One gastro doc asked me if I was gay. Another could not tell me what was wrong and that cost me $500.00!!!!!! with insurance. You would be better off seeing a nutritionist. I did see one 15 years ago and in less than a week NO SWEATY BUTT!!!!!!!  It is your hands not the doctor. Educate yourself & make a food diary. Start out simple and bland. No wheat or grains or dairy. Rice & potatoes & most vegies and just a few fruits , apples are pretty safe. Make sure you get sufficient protein. A least 60 grams a day. For you vegans out there you may be doing harm with soy over 60% is GMO. Eat  different kinds of meats & fish even though they are fed CORN!!!!!( MAKE A FOOD DIARY) !!!  Follow it or never heal. There is no magic pill, no quick fix. It will be up to you. Its that simple. :-)

I suspect you're largely correct, but I'm also sure stress plays a part for me.  I always seem to get worse on a day where I know we have some kind of social obligation, or if I feel I've lost control of a situation, or have money or job worries, or just feel generally overwhelmed (including the problem in this thread, of course!).

I bought 50days worth of Florastor, 30 days worth of Culturelle, and 30days of Renew.

Will report back after each one is complete to tell you if they helped.

Just to let you people know on what additional info I learned in just 24 to 48 hours. I mentioned the coconut milk drink that seemed to be a problem + the coconut oil. Well I knew the condition would get better If I did not consume the coconut and sure enough It cleared right back up. NO SWEATY BUTT. Still on the wheat & dairy free diet with no tomato sauce & no coconut products. It is a hard diet to follow but I am learning more about this condition every day. I know it sucks to watch other people eat tasty food and Im just eating tuna & rice or potatoes & meat with veggies. But it seems to work & Im still drinking coffee although I think some coffees will contribute to the problem that have a higher acid content. And yes nerves seem to play a role but in my opinion only if you are not eating the correct foods, in that case the sweaty butt will be really really bad. I will continue along to let everybody know my progress because it looks like  the CURE. People keep asking at this web page, ....... any input......... YES, ITS FOOD SENSITIVITIES. MAKE A FOOD DIARY!!!!!!!  :-)
