A better solution to tight foreskin is to stretch it a little every day. Take it with thumbs and forefingers on opposite sides and pull just hard enough to feel resistance but not pain. This way you will not lose sensitivity as you would if the mucous membranes were keratinized by constant exposure to the air. Keratin is the substance of fingernails. The good news, if you have already experienced the drying, is that by keeping your foreskin in its natural position for two or three weeks, the mucosa will return to their normal state and you will regain the lost sensitivity. I was raised with my foreskin retracted. When I was 22 I got tired of the irritation of cloth and hair on my most sensitive parts so stretched my fuerskin to make up for the growth it missed by being retracted, and feel that now, at 76, I have much more sensation than I had before 22.

You say you "were raised with my foreskin retracted." Please explain. Did you parents insist that you keep your foreskin retracted? How old were you when you started to keep your foreskin retracted? I think this is very unusual.

That's certainly interesting. I couldn't have kept mine retracted without having it sewed back there. At the very least I would have had to keep one hand in my pants all the time. I think the other kids and the teachers might have noticed that.

I have certainly enjoyed being able to touch and rub my bare head since I desensitized it and also the fact that it has stayed just sensitive enough from remaining covered to leave a lot of feeling for my pleasure.

I am the same way. I can retract my foreskin but when I let go of it, it immediately slides/rolls forward again to recover the head. There is no way I could ever wear my foreskin retracted, however, I have no desire to do so.

My parents ordered circumcision, but all that was cut was my frenum. That left me with a roll of foreskin behind my corona. It become very sensitive to rubbing on boxer shorts required in the Navy. When I was 22 I figured it out, used cross tapes at night to stretch enough to make up for the growth my foreskin missed duh to not being pulled bf frenum to keep up with shaft, but at no time did foreskin become tight or stop forming the roll when flaccid. Further evidence that no foreskin was removed: There is no scar except in the frenum area, and the frenar sphincter gradually contracted and began to pull foreskin into the appearance of being tight at the end, but it has never been hard to retract except during a yeast infection which resulted from scraping by teeth during oral sex. Glans stays fully covered except in erection. It doesn't fully retract in erection, but must be manually placed over glans afterward since the frenum isnn't there to pull it.

This is an interesting and unusual story. This testifies to the value of the foreskin. I would say that you were pretty lucky to avoid a complete circumcision.

How old were you were you had the frenum operation?

I autocircumcised myself some years ago by initially wearing a stainless steel ring behind the glans to hold the skin back but once my knob had fully dried out this became unnecessary and it now stays retracted all the time.  It now has exactly the appearance of a circumcised knob, no differecne at all. Why did I do it? Partly for sexual reasons but also because it is s cleaner, looks much better to me and masturbation is actually now more enjoyable.

No it didn't shrink to any noticeable degree but the skin on my knob and the inside of my foreskin dired out completely after a while so that one will no longer slide over the other and so I stay permanently skinned back which is how I personally wish to be. As to how it makes masturbation more enjoyable I can't really say, it just does which is all that matters.

Nature had its reasons for giving us foreskins. Primarily it is for protection, but also for pleasure. It is now thought that there are protective substances secreted in the enclosed area, which are lost if the foreskin is permanently. Also, it isn't only the glans that becomes less sensitive with prolonged exposure to the air. The inner foreskin is a mucous membrane too, and drying out diminishes its sensitivity also. Think about the consequences when you grow old. I am 76 and don't think I would still have sexual ability if I had lost the sensitivity in my foreskin. A minute or so spent washing with plain water and blotting dry with a towel is a small price to pay for maintaining sensitivity, because it is going to decrease with age; proper care will lessen the decrease

Well, I am 70, still masturbate daily and being skinned back adds to my pleasure for whatever reason. It all comes down to the individual. If you want to do it then do it and don't pay too much attention to what is right for others. I certainly agree with the point about personal hygiene. I have read with some derision over the years what some have written about 'smegma' - filth under the foreskin - and wonder at their standards of cleanliness, or lack of it. i want to ask that i m  not circumcised but due to continues retracting of foreskin behind i had bare glan .my penis size seems to be very small as compare to  other uncircumcised penis.could it possible to fix  my penis to normal uncircumcised one.is dere any way through surgery .plz reply

Did I ever answer your question about my age at frenoplasty? As it was done in lieu of the requested neonatal circumcision, it was before I ever left the hospital--no more than a few days.

There is no surgery to do what you ask, and I think few doctors would deem it worth the risk if there were such a procedure, but I think if you retract your foreskin only for cleaning, I think your glans will return to its former size. I lived my first 22 years with mine retracted, until I discovered that my foreskin had not been removed, just the frenum. My glans grew after that until it is now significantly bigger. I think being proud of how it looks now may have something to do with it, or maybe it was trying to make itself a smaller target because ists protective sheath wasn't in place.
