For my son, topamax relieved his symptoms as he was suffering from non-equivalent abdominal migraines. If a warm bath soothes you, nothing stays down, phernigan or zofran don't help, trying the topamax can't hurt. It has completely stopped his two year bout of unexplained nausea and vomiting.

Yes! Talk to your doctor about this. I have had weight gain and stomach bloating recently and then I'll have severe bouts of vomiting lasting entire days. So far this year alone I've had three separate days of just throwing up for hours on end. It's scary and I had to stay home from work. I'm seeing my doctor Wednesday because I may have cvs. http://digestive.niddk.nih.gov/ddiseases/pubs/cvs/
My husband told me its from drinking the night before, and at first I thought so too, but the vomiting lasted almost 24 straight hours about two or three times per hour and I only had two beers the night before. Not even close enough for me to be drunk. Also this happened to me while being completely sober in the past and I just assumed it was food poisoning or something.

I feel ur pain 6 years ago i had major surgery on stomach. My apendix was enlarged and had apendix stones which is very rare. Aslo they noticed all internal organs were also enlarged. I am almost 38 i am 6'4" tall and weigh 330lbs i gained about 100 lbs since they put a foot long cut on stomach now a bad scar back in 1999 i had my gald bladder with alot of gald stones removed. When i had gald bladder removed they say it was so big it was about to bust. If it did bust it would have killed me instanting so when they took it out and put on table it busted. My symptoms sound like urs. As i said before i been dealing with almost exact same issues as you do. I had to file for medical disability when i was still way to young and not ready to not work ever again. Yea it sucks. Also doctors still do not know why i retain fluid which make my look pregnant as u had stated they do not know why it has moved up to my lungs and chest area. So after 6 years of test after test and doctor after doctor i finally come to just deal with it. Best advice i can give u my friend is have faith and dont give up hope i have a good supporter my new wife. She is a nurse and is very detemined to find a solution.

Some of you that are having vomiting issues sound like you may have Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome. I had unexplained vomiting that would come and go for years before I was diagnosed. Please google this and see if it makes sense. It is a rare disease, and many doctors are not that familiar with it, so it often goes undiagnosed. I wish you all well, and please keep bugging your doctor if you are not getting better.

I would look into an illness called Gastroparesis.  i was diagnosed with it 2 years ago but had never heard of it before then, sounds very similair to what a lot of you have been commenting on.

It sounds like ulcerative colitis to me. I have it and the symptoms are the same as I have.  It can be controlled with change of diet.

Have you checked to see if you are actually pregnant? If your not, and your stomach is so large that you look pregnant, then yes, you should go back to your doctor. Straight away.

If I didn'know any better, I would have thought that I wrote this myself !! I have had this problem for 20yrs. Last month I was admitted to the hospital for 9 days and for years I have had numerous tests done, including when I was hospitalized throughout the years. Of course they found nothing wrong with me. They did give me a name for what was happening to me, it's called CYCLIC VOMITING SYNDROME. They told me that they knew for years that children suffered from this and that they are now recognizing in adults. I also have to take nausea medication the rest of my life. Even taking the medications I still feel nauseated at times. I know that there will be other episodes to come, it's just a matter of time. I wish you all the best and remember that it does go away even for a little while !!
