I am 17 years old and i had sex with my girlfriend without a condom. Her last period was during spring break in april, and now today it has been 1 month since her period and im worried that she might be pregnant. The thing is she shows no signs of being pregnant, no nasia, no throwing up, nothing. She has had alot of stress going through her latly, like ALOT, and my friend said that can hold off a period. Well her stomach is getting bigger and people think she is pregnant, but she doesnt eat alot like a pregnant girl, she eats very little amounts, and she doesnt eat as health as she should, she eats out alot and i think thats why her stomach is getting big. Well i dont know if she is pregnant,could someone help me out? :-(
Anytime you have unprotected sex there is the possibility of pregnancy. A lot of the times "symptoms" of pregnancy don't begin to show until at least 2 weeks after missed period if even then...Of course there is the possibility that the stress is what is delaying her cycle but the only way you will really know is to take a home pregnancy test. They don't cost much and are highly effective....the most sensitive one on the market today is the "first response" brand.
An enlarging stomach wouldn't have anything to do with pregnany even if that were the case because it takes at least until the 12th week of pregnancy for a belly to start the "bulge"
So, have her take a test...and if its negative have her get on the pill to prevent future scares. Make sure you wait the two weeks after she starts the pill before having unprotected intercourse.

I totally agree. A lot of cases which involve teen pregnancy happens because you are not well educated about one of the most important things in your life. Anyway, whenever you have a sex, there are some chances that you might be pregnant. If that sex is without protection, chances are bigger, of course. Even if a girl has her period for two months, that doesn't mean that she is not pregnant. Some girls can get period even if they are pregnant. Now, when it comes to a late period, I agree that stress can play a huge role in this. Also, your mind is something that can delay her period as well. There are so many different factors, but I do agree that the pregnancy test is the only solution to see are there reason to be scared or not.
