Usually my periods are thick and heavy, but this was different

so about  2 weeks ago me and my boyfriend had sex and and i didnt think much of it, but then we did it again and then i realized that it was around my ovulation date. but we used protection so i didnt thing too much of it, but then i started feeling a little weird, i mean no major symptoms but i didnt feel the same either. then about a week before my period was suppose to come i got some light pink spotting when i wiped. then it stopped but later that day it got heavier, not filling up a pad or anything and it was brown. Then the next day it was heavier and it was watery, so i was very confused because usually my periods are thick and heavy, but this was different. plus i didnt have any of the nomal symptoms i usually have when i get my period, like i didnt have any cramps at all, and my nipples didnt hurt like usual. However the bleeding went on for about 7 days which is also very unusual for me because my periods only last 4 days, but it seemed pretty close to a period to me but just very different. im planning on taking a pt this thursday but i wanted some extra input as well
