I too have been experiencing the same problems everyone has been describing. Due to the pain during intercourse and the pain/urgency to urinate afterwards my husband and I haven't had intercourse in almost a year. I just went to the doctor since I finally have insurance once again. The doctor suggested it might be interstitial cystitis. So far he has checked other things like done a pap smear, ultrasound, and now he has taken a culture of my urine and just sent it off to the lab to get tested. Supposedly, there's no cure for IC and it's very difficult to diagnose. The patient has to pretty much be tested for everything else first. If any of you have IC the cranberry juice is actually going to upset/irritate the bladder even more. I had tried everything in the past for UTIs and apparantly I have been getting misdiagnosed because the pain is not going away. Years ago I went to a urogynecologist and she suggested I had pelvic floor tension myalgia due to constipation. I was told to drink water constantly along with Miralax, to do some Kegel excercises, and I also went to physical therapy. It really didn't seem to help much. Hopefully the doctor will find something in the future so I can live a normal life. I have also been on birth control for over a decade, just recently I've stopped taking the pill. I have noticed my bowel movements are returning to normal perhaps the birth control has something to do with this. Who knows?

I also have a U.T.I. I have had it 4 5 months i have been 2 the Dr. several times and the Doctors tell me that nothing is wrong. I have symptoms of a U.T.I. but not all of them. I don't have the pain except when it comes 2 sex, I don't have the burning or itching associated with anything. I have not had sex with my fiancee 4 5 months. I have recently been buying cranberry juice, I have been drinking tons of water and i have been drinking tons of cranberry juice and it has not been making a difference. The doctors have told me that they can't prescribe me antibiotics if i am not pregnant.
3 days ago i have started taking cranberry pills i take 2 caplets daily and i hope that will clear things up 4 me because this is very aggravating.

The nerves affecting your urethra come through a little hole in the sacrum; that’s a triangle shaped bone at the bottom of your lower back. Try seeing a chiropractor to see if your sacrum is misaligned, therefore putting pressure on the nerves. Have you tried also taking Advil? That would help the nerve inflammation to a degree if that’s the problem but it wouldn’t fix the root cause. Steroid injections too although steroids wreak havoc on your immune system so make sure you take all the vital supplements (D3, zinc, magnesium, C, etc). Also consider some different yoga stretches for low back/hip/glute area. I hope this helps!
