can your partner get a vaginal infection in his mouth from a person with a vaginal bacterial infection from oral sex?
If it were in his mouth it would be an oral infection, but yes you can transfer bacteria one to the other. The same is true or oral sex on a penis, if the receiving partner has a bacterial infection of the penis (STD) then it can infect other areas. An STD is an STD because sexual contact is the main form of transfer, not that it is the only way to give it to someone else.

my wife feels that this happens to her and as a result, we have discontinued oral sex-forever she says. I am desparately needing to know if this is possible and if so, is there anything I can wash my mouth out with, prior to oral, so that this does not happen. Please help.

Brush your teeth and wash your mouth out with Listerine, and don't eat any food before oral sex. That will be about as bacteria free as you can get.

Hey T-bone,

Try the listerine thing and see if that works. I am going to get my fiance to try it too because I have been having the same problem. I love oral sex and I dont want to live without it. I just dont understand because I never had a problem before my fiance.
* But just because you cant do her right now doesnt mean that she has to stop doing you. She should still want to make you happy since she knows you enjoy oral sex very much.

If you have a vaginal infection (bacterial or yeast) try some Tea Tree Oil. Put the Tea Tree oil on a tampon and use for a week. If the tea tree oil is really strong it can sting, you just add Olive oil as a carrier oil. THIS WORKS!!! I suffered for 6 months of going back and forth from a bacterial infection to a yeast infection and my doctor gave up. I searched online for months and finally found it. Tea tree oil is awesome, it works for many things: Athletes foot, ringworms, infections of any kind, acne, and etc. I use Thursday Plantation, since I cannot seem to find a good tea tree oil anywhere. . PS. I'm not a salesperson, just someone who has been there.

I would use coconut oil as it's naturally antibacterial. To about 1/4 c coconut oil (solid), add several drops of tea tree oil and lavender oil. Stir all together and keep in the fridge. When solid, make a ball and insert it into vagina. Use a pants liner as it will melt and drop down. This should provide immediate relief from the itching and pain. The infection should be healed in three days or so. If the infection is outside the vagina, jut rub the mixture there.

I should clarify that you should make a ball of about a Tabkespoon of the mixture, not the whole 1/4 cup or you'd need more than a panti liner! Lol
