Hi Im 48 yrs old, had a hysterectomy in 2005. I have noticed once in a while I get this black stain in the crotch of my panties. Im not sure what this is. when I wipe myself it isnt black, and it is clear. There isnt an odor either. Doesnt happen all the time. Is this something that is normal vaginal discharge? Or not? I dont have a period anymore. Maybe it is drug related?? If you know please let me know...Thanks

Hi Masha! Did you have a laproscopic hysterectomy or the old fashioned way of the bikini line!? Also do you still have your ovaries? And as far as you know did they take the cervix too? I would REALLY like you to go to your doctors about this OK? You should not have ANY discharge - depending on what type of hysterectomy! Don't ignore it OK? Akso please let me know how you make out! Good luck and health!

Hi Bambi27 I live in Canada as well

And to answer your questions:

The Old fashioned way of the bikini line! is how they did it.

2. Also do you still have your ovaries? No they took them out.
3. no sure if they removed the cervix.

I also am a breast cancer survivor 5 yrs now.
Im just on my last Oral Chemo, Arimidex. It stop you producing Estrogen. My breast cancer is the type that love to grow on Estrogene

Hi Masha! I would love for you to see your doctor - it sounds like you still have your cervix, And this could be possibly from the Chemo - BUT I want to err on the side of caution OK? Don't mess with strange things going on! Please let me know how you make out OK? Good luck and health!

I have just turned 49 last month and I am experiencing the same thing! Just a black panty stain, odorless and when I wipe - it is clear. I have recently (last month) had a period after not having one for about 10 months.....but this BLACK color is the first. I've been seeing it for about a week now. At first I thought it might be a chemical reaction to detergent or bleach, but I used a panty liner and same thing!

Hi, my name is Christina and I am from South Africa, I am 36 years old and i have recently been experiencing the same problem with a black stained panty, odorless and when I wipe its clear. I havent had any hyterectomy's and am still getting my period as normal. I am worried about this. Any suggestions as to what to do? I am thinking of going to my doctor, but I am afraid that I may just embarrass myself if its just nothing.

My 11yr old daughter as well. She has not had her first period. She thinks it is the black jeans she wears, but it does not happen every time she wears them. It started about 6 to 9 months ago. Are there any OB?GYN Docs on this site? Being in the profession of women's health (in a hospital )I have never heard of this.

I've had the same experience the last three months.  I had an oblation 2 years ago, no hysterectomy though.  I am 52 years olkd.  I went to the doctor, no infection.  My inner thighs have become stained black.  He is testing my urine to see if the color is something to do with that.  The two things I've found on that is melanoma and ochronosis.  I'm anxious!!!!

I also am a breat cancer survivor. While taken tomoxifen I would get this black stain in my panties. It has been 11 years since then and about a month ago this stain has reappeared it stopped after I stopped taken this medicine. I am concerned something is terribly wrong, but like most woman I don't want to be embarrassed while talking to my doctor. I also have had a complete hysterectomy. There is no smell or wetness. What can it be?

I have been having the same problem on and off for the past year.  I too had a complete hysterectomy, 19 yr breast cancer survivor, no chemo, just radiation.  I am a 2 yr survivor of lung cancer.  No new pills at all.  Mostly appears in the morning when I get up to go to the bathroom, I see it,,,same thing as the others, no smell, clean when I wipe.  Only in the very front of the panties, not so much a vaginal discharge but looks more like a urinary discharge?

I too have this. I had hysterectomy more than 20 years ago. Only meds I take are thyroid Armour. I smoke and drink coffee. I am healthy, have had all blood work done recently. I have decided it is either caffeine or nicotine in the system – of course that is just a speculation.

I am 46 and have this too for past 3 weeks since a fall.  Could it be my medicine? First I was on Perocet but now just on high doses of Tylenol. No itch, no burning,  just the discharge.

Hi all! So I am 23 years old and have just experienced this strange black discharge. Before this, my period was 2 weeks late. I took 2 home pregnancy tests, one that came up inconclusive and the other came up negative. I have been experiencing cramping as well. All of this just started yesterday, and am a little nervous. I plan on calling my doctor on Monday, but just wanted other womens opinions as well. Is it possible that I'm pregnant? Or is this just a really strange menstrual cycle?

I am 48 y/o, still get my periods regularly and I don't know if I would call it a discharge exactly...reminds me of a mood ring.  It only occurs when I take cold medicine.  If I am wearing white panties, the crouch will turn a dark gray to black color, yet I am clear when I wipe.
