Hey! I`m so glad I stumbled across this while browsing for a solution to this problem haha. I am an 18 year old female that can really hold my liquor the night of. It doesn`t actually make sense, seeing as I am a relatively smallish girl (5"6, 115llb); but I can outdrink most of my comrades without feeling much of an effect for seemingly hours. Sometimes it all hits me at once after a few hours, sometimes it never does. That is part 1 of the problem, cause I obviously end up drinking more than I should in a night. What does happen though, is that halfway through the night, I`ll begin to feeö a headache that gradually grows throughout. By the next morning, I am a terrible wreck, absolutely disgusting, and I feel like I`m going to die haha. I break out in cold sweats and vomit very frequently all with a horrible migraine. This reaction is similar to my allergic reaction to MSG, and for a moment I`ve wondered if the two were connected. Eventually I noticed that this happened even if I had miniscule amounts of alcohol, like a glass of wine, or a beer. The hangover wouldn`t be as bad as I just described, but it`s still a nuisance.

Anyway, I noticed that there aren`t many solutions here, so I wanted to offer one- hardly a mystery, but better than nothing:

1. Water. You`ve heard it before, and that`s because it works. No matter how rediculous my state, any time I`ve remembered to drink water, I`ve thanked myself tremendously the following day. Yoù won`t wake up 100%, you may have a slight headache, but it`ll pass, and it will be NOTHING compared to what has been described here. If anything, you`ll wake up with a "normal" hangover. The thing is that you can`t just have one glass, chug half a litre or something, hold it down, sip the rest. Seriously drink as much as you can until you feel like throwing up and HOLD IT DOWN. If you do puke, drink some more. When you wake up, have another glass and you`ll be set. The more you drink the better you`ll feel. This has worked wonders for me. I hope it`ll help, and let me know if you know of something better!

I have the solution! About 4 years ago this began happening to me too. I would have some drinks (anywhere from 3-4 and up), and the next day, vomit every hour, on the hour, and be fine by 5 pm. It was almost like clockwork. It was miserable and debilitating. After about 2 years of suffering though this, I read some amazing things about vitamin B-12. So I began taking a Super Complex B vitamin every day. I have not thrown up since (its been about 2 years). I guess I was highly vitamin B deficient. I personally like the Nature's Bounty super complex-b. I take one everyday and two on a day I may be drinking. Changed my life!

It's great to see other people having the same kind of problem as me. I used to drink all the time in college and just have a headache the next day. After college I cut back my drinking a lot, but then developed this "problem" any time I would have more than 2 drinks. I basically stopped going out because I hated being completely useless the next day.

I've tried all sorts of strategies, eating after I drink, eating certain things right when I wake up the next morning, staying super hydrated, none of them worked. I could have 6 beers over 6 hours and feel fine that night, wake up the next day and not even have a hang over, but then around 10am I would start start to feel sick, get a horrible migraine and tremors and then be throwing up until 4-5pm. I'll give milk thistle/ranitidine a try and post back here after I do.

Such a relief to find this forum! I'm 24, female, and experiencing the exact same symptoms. I don't think it's an alcohol allergy, because I don't have any reaction WHEN drinking, it's not until the next morning that I get the nonstop vomiting, tingling in hands, weakness and general uselessness. Sometimes I can go out and have a big night of drinking and be fine the next day. Other times I've had a single drink, been designated driver, and felt awful for days afterward. I've tried to stick to light spirits and never mix drinks, but there's still no way to predict how my body will react. Was wondering if it could be an adrenal problem, or a histamine allergy, or some combination of food etc that could do it? Birth control doesn't seem to be a factor for me.

I'm experiencing the same thing! Recently after attending a friends birthday party I got super drunk. And the next couple of days I've been in a funk. I had a terrible hangover. My stomach has been feeling ill. I constantly feel like I need to throw up but nothing comes out. And I haven't had much of an appetite. Whenever I force myself to eat I just want to throw up. My whole body feels weird and my limbs ache. And no matter what I'm doing I feel like my reaction is really slow. And it takes my body about 5 to 10 seconds to respond to something. It feels like I'm not in my body when that happens because everything is so slow. Please help! I'm afraid this is a medical condition.

My daughter gets this too. It is so frustrating. She rarely drinks, but last night had 4 coolers over 6 hours and she has been vomiting with headaches for hours.  We have also had her tested for various conditions and the only thing they have given her is a prescription to reduce stomach acids. She doesn't get this all the time - but when it is bad we have to bring her to the hospital for dramamine drip and anti nausea medication.

I will try the B12 supplements.

One thing that may help a bit is when she feels an episode coming on, if I can get her to keep down 2 gravols and drink water and she sleeps, then we can sometimes avoid the many hours of bile vomiting. She does sometimes get this when she has not been drinking, but a food diary has not found any triggers.

Hmmm B12 is brain food really so if you get all other sypmtoms except vomiting it may help, so if its a cure for vomiting B12 will not cure that i dont think, i seem to get all the symptoms except vomiting lol :)

i've had the experience described twice, both around the time i started my period. I saw a doctor, who didn't seem to think it was relevant, but since the test she gave me came back negative and im still concerned about the problem, i consider alcohol poison particularly during that time of the month.

I have the same exact problem. I used to drink for years socially but the hangovers became worse. I stopped for ten years when I had kids & now if i even only have three drinks I am totally 'bed ridden' the next day. Last night I had HALF a glass of wine as it was memorial day & today my stomach feels raw! ... It's hard to go out & 'not drink' so for the most part I refuse all invitations to go out! My mum has NEVER been able to drink, after one mouthful she would turn purple. I guess then my problem is 'genetic' & it has taken years to truly develop. I hate to complain that 'I can't drink' anymore when some people have serious illnesses etc. but it's part of our culture & I would like to think I could have two glasses of wine & not be 'sea sick' the next day. I have tried ALL drinks BTW. It's not just wine that makes me ill. You are not alone. Good luck to you !
