I have itchy ears. The itch is on the inside of the ear but before the canal. I have tried wiping them with peroxide, alcohol and most recently neo-sporin. I have also increased my consumption of V-C. The neo-sporin seems to have helped the most but not total relief. What is the cause and how do I get relief ? My doctor sees nothing when he has examined my ears.
I hope you get some responses because I have exactly the same problem and it drives ne nuts. I'm male, in my sixties, and this has been a fairly recent complaint, maybe started a couple of years ago. Having the ears flushed out helps for about a week or two then the itch comes back.

Hi everyone, Well this post is old... me too(1958)... but i had copy from few years ago... . I first did try few tips from this post/forum ( vinegar + tea tree oil) and many other stuff... so many years... all unsuccess!
I had itchy ears 20+ years. Drive me insane... Tried everything, Many doc/ENTdoc /medical treatments. I heard so many times diagnosis=eczem! was wrong since I am cured now.
So, came back here just to inform, if this can help other later: my last trial , few month ago: a plant oplantamednaturo ( or oplantamednatura ... don't have packaging anymore...but you can get from your local drugstore)
Treatement was less than a week. After treatment, add some olive oil,to keep ear canal moist. This plant did really definitely cure me. Found back normal life, so happy, pronlem away! worked great for me.
Maybe this help other as well. Good luck all.
