I am currenly suffering from vertigo and the doctor terms as BPPV. The doctor prescribed Vertin 16 with stemetil.

My feeling is I get dizzy while I take my posture turning to left in sleeping, viewing or getting up from bed. My head is always heavy.I had three vomits but the vomits has subsided now and I am 59 years of age.

I need to know what is the remedy for this disease or cant we have replacement of fluid or transplant of the ear fluid system to permanently cure this problem.

I to have had several experiences of vertigo. The only relief I have found to work is advice from a PA. I thought it was a sort of weird thing he told me to do, but actually works for me. He told me that the cyrstals in my inner ear were out of balance and they needed to be brought back into place so to speak. Starting with chin tucked to chest, roll head slowly to the left continuing the head to the back then to the right and back to front of chest. Repeat several times and then reverse the direction. It helps me and better then being on meds.

Does stress play a significant part in vertigo? Can vertigo last for a lifetime?

Is it possible to have post vertigo symptoms? Such as the feeling of being dizzy even if you're not? Is there a chance of it being only in my imagination almost similar to what a hypochondriac feels?

My wife has just been told she has vertigo and the doctor is not sure if she can fly to America. I would like to know if this is the case as we fly in 7 days. What do you think?
