In September 27th, 2010 I got my first pap test. When the results came in, it showed abnormal cells. So I was scheduled for a colposcopy/biopsy in October 11th, but was unable to make that appoinment. Consequently; I couldnt get a another appt. until December 8th. I decided to postpone going in to hear the results until after the holidays which was more than two weeks. So, today (January 11th) I went to my doctor to hear the results of my colposcopy/biopsy. It appears that I have low grade HPV. Well my question is something that completely slipped my mind while the doctor was breaking the news to me. I just want to know, if anyone can tell me, how long It takes for HPV to turn my cells "abnormal"??? I'm curious to know this, because I need to know whether I got it from my boyfriend of 6 months today (we started dating July 11th, 2010), or from the previous partner, whom I slept with over a year ago (November 2009).
