my husband has been told he has a wart in his throat and is booked in to have this removed under a local.
i am confused as to how he got a wart there as i have never heard of them there,
also the risks involved in the surgery especially as he is on aspirin and has a tendency to bleed heavily when he has cuts etc. and has had a stroke and suffers from TIAs (mini strokes)
also the risk of the bug MRSA as it lives in the throat.
would be grateful for any input.
thanx

Well,
If he has issues with bleeding he has to tell the doctor about this. He can not go under surgery if his blood is too thin because he can lose too much blood in the surgery. MRSA infection is always risky thing that you can get when you have surgery, but you have to understand that chances of getting this are very low. Hospital takes good care of patients and they take precautions about MRSA infection. Also has he tried to treat the wart with the antibiotic medication? Was he been given any other option to treat this wart in throat except the surgical procedure? This should not be complicated procedure and he should be good after the surgery.
Good luck,
Karel
