I just stopped Prozac 1 1/2 months ago because I finally came to the conclusion that it was the cause of my extra 30-40lbs. I have tried counting calories (staying at 1200/day), exercising 20-60 minutes 3 x week, increasing water intake, I don't eat sweets or eat out, and I took Lipozine. I combine all of this for 4 months and didn't lose anything. Now my BP is high. Am I stuck with this excess weight?
Have you talk about decision to stop taking Prozac with your doctor or this is something you just have done it by yourself? If your doctor said it is fine to stop then ok but if he didn't then it is not such a good idea.
How are you feeling right now? You are not sad?
And if you think that it is causing weight gain then you definitely need to consult with your doctor and exchange Prozac with some other medication. And since you take care of yourself and exercise on a regular basis there shouldn't be a problem with loosing that excessive weight. Just try to avoid any type of supplements to speed up weight loss because they are unhealthy and it is far more important to be healthy then sick and slim. Let me know how did you manage to resolve your problem. Wish you all the best.
