Did you ever find out what this was? cause I am getting the same thing.
I also have these kaleidoscope lights and I always get them just before a Migrain, my mum has the same problem so Its probably to do with a migrain its like a warning sign to say one is coming on for me. I normally take two pain killers ready and stay away from bright ligths when it starts.
WOW ..something similair happens to me...I've been looking for you ( or someone with the same type of symptoms) for ever...What do you have? did you ever figure out the tinkgling?
I have floating lights along both sides of my eyes. Had my eyes dialated a couple of weeks ago and the opthamologist said my virteous was soupy and tugging on my retina. Said my Retina looked healthy. I am a 57 yr old female, very near sighted (6.25 in left eye, 7.5 in right eye). It's caused me a lot of aniexty. I keep thinking they missed a hole or something, or that I have a brain tumor.
When I am anxious it is worse. I tried drinking a lot of fluid as I heard this helps. I noticed I see crystal clear when when I get hydrated, but not sure it helps with the flashes. Maybe it's just a symptom of old age, but it still scares the hell out of me. I wish people would post back on how they are doing. The only thing that helps is finding other people like me to talk too :o/
It's prolly nothing to do with low blood pressure, I've written on the symptoms of low blood pressure here

and what you're describing sounds, as many other members pointed out, to me like a retinal condition.
Here's a couple of questions to start off with:
1. It might be simple eye strain...does your profession or your time usage involve staring at a lot of computer screens? Do you have to look at something for a long time without rest?
2. Does it have triggers? Do you respond to certain environments only or is it random?
3. Does it cause pain? Or does it only cause a kaleidoscope flashing symptom?
My advice is to start with simple eye exercises and getting off electronics completely (as much as you can) for at LEAST a month and see how that works out for you. If it's still serious, it might be time to consult an opthalmologist.
Get well soon :)
Kaleidoscope is exactly how I describe it to my family and friends when this happens. Starts as a small dot and slowly works its way outwards to form a large ring of light.Eventually dissappearing out the edges of my sight.Lasts about 15-20 minutes.
I'm having the same thing, little flashing lights that quickly appear and disappear. Some days more than others. It worries me so I went to my eye doctor and he said my eye pressure is good and I don't have glaucoma and there is no scarring. He said something about it being the electricity in my body and some people just start seeing it at different times in their lives. I was thinking of having more tests but it could be brought on by anxiety and stress. I do take meds for anxiety and the last year has been extremely stressful with work and my Dad passing away. I wonder too if it is just our eyes being exhausted from trying to keep up with all these HD computer and television screens.

Personally, I believe when we are in deep thought and aware of our emotions (Self realization), or in a state of deep concentration/channeling, the warm tingling feeling is the physical manifestation of the presence of our Spirit Guides or "Angels". Because they exist on a higher vibration/frequency, their frequency physically interacts with ours when we are in a relaxed state of Being or while channeling our Higher Self during periods of deep concentration and focus. We are physically raising our frequency of Being and allowing our frequency to come closer to theirs. I view this as accessing Higher Knowledge. I also believe most individuals are experiencing this on different levels of Consciousness, which is why we perceive the lights differently.
I enjoy experiencing my version of this often. I look at the sky from a view point of any shaded spot (line of sight away from the Sun:-)) and immediately begin to see thousands of tiny twinkly lights flashing and darting around. The more I relax my gaze, as if focusing between myself and the sky, the more intense the lights become. I Love and accept the presence of the Universe (Uni=One, Verse=Sound/Vibration/Frequency) that surrounds me on all levels seen and unseen to my physical eyes. I Know there is nothing wrong with my eyes and the warm tingling feeling is the physical manifestation of the frequency of unconditional Love.
I would LOVE to see that Circle of Light through your eyes!!! Much Love and Gratitude,
Jason
The complete absence of Fear = The Unconditional Love of the One that is All, and the All that is One.
forgive my english... I have the same problem and was linking the lights with my extended time in front of the pc, big screens could be more dangerous to the eyes health...It is just a idea.
i get this white light very hard to explain like if i walk up steps and then close my eyes there is this white circle figure going in circles but when i open my eyes its gone????? i can't figure this one out i am 46 and have nuerpthy, rsd, and fibromylgia just wondering if this is a part of the whole game or am i just crazy
Get out of here with that c**p.. I myself am religious but that is the most ludicrous form of cultist recruiting I have ever heard.
Yep i see them too...its an energy.its stronger in my ight eye than my eft..usuay blue.though somtimes purple..green,or red...they lat only 2 seconds...I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE...wow.
I have been experiencing this for about eight months now as well. I was checked by a retina specialist. He said the light
was a pulling or tugging on my retina, but not to worry about it. If it only gets smaller (thinner) and shrinks very slowly, that this was okay. My chances of a retinal tear goes down dramatically after the first week of symptoms. I just hope it goes away sometime, as when I notice it in dark spaces; it does pose a moment of concern. Hope this helps.
You are all right! I went to an eye surgeon and she said not to worry its a common occurance with some people. Genetics could be a factor. My Dad had bad eyes and needed a retina replacement. Don't worry, ok. To all here. I had it one time and now six months later its back, but I know it will go away. As a fact it is disipating while I am typing. (I also pray asking God who created me to heal me.) I now have just a tiny bit on the bottom of my left eye. Glad I went to good specialist who knew it was nothing to worry about. Too many doctors will use it to do all kinds of treatments to you for big bucks. Go to a reputable eye surgeon for check ups. I had a surgeon who told me I had cataracts and when I went to this "Good" surgeon she said, "who told you that?" When I told her she told me I had ZERO cataracts. I turned that doctor/surgeon in. They are watching her now. Everyone that went in to her (the bad Dr.) had to have cataracts removed by her in an office setting, with the secretary watching. Hmmmm Big Red Flag don't you think. My flashing is now gone away. Hope this helps you all. God bless you. God loves you.
could be your pineal gland,i have the same problems with the blue flashing and ive been to have a eye test because i was too worried about it but my eyes r perfectly fine.it happens with im in really thinking or when im asleep.ive read about the pineal gland and its very intresting.
