My friends and I enjoy running. Recently they got a crazy idea that we should run barefoot. Supposedly that way we are in a touch with the ground and get some energy from the Earth. I dont feel like doing it especially because my feet are sensitive and I cannot imagine myself running barefoot.
Well, if you enjoy punishing yourself and want to find out how well you can tolerate pain then you can follow your friends advice. Otherwise I would not recommend it. Of course, there are tribes in Africa and Amazon forests who run barefoot all day long. Some of them can walk on hot stones and fire. However, I sincerely doubt that you will benefit from such activity. Stick to your good old running shoes.
