I have a tight schedule. I work long hours and come home late. I want to swim but usually it is already dark outside so I skip it. My brother wants to go swimming anyway and keeps telling me that any workout is better than no workout. But I am reluctant to swim in the dark. It is a kind of spooky. What do you think about late evening swimming training?
To be honest, it would be much better if you were doing it in the morning. After a good night sleep your body is recovered and ready for some serous effort. On the other hand evening should be spent preparing to go to bed not some vigorous activity. So my advice would be: try to rearrange you schedule and swim in the morning. However your brother is absolutely right. Any swim is better than no swim at all. So if you really don't have any other choice, go and swim in the evening.
