what do you do if your parents don't approve your relationship but your friends do?

Remember, your parents will always be your parents.  They love you unconditionally as well.  They will always worry about you.

Your friends, not so much.  You might do something to upset them or just grow tired of them - it does happen.

I met this guy 6's months ago on a singles chat room. we stayed up talking that night till 3 am. we exchanged skype names and have been talking on Skype since summer has ended. We've grown to have feelings for each other. The problem is though he lives far away form me. And its over the internet thats where my parents have an issues. He's the same age as me were both 22. He's all the way in ohio, i'm in Delaware. I just really need advice. He's a good guy, there's nothing creepy or bad about him. my parents would like him if they just gave him a chance. he's willing to meet them over Skype.

You really don't know anything about him Guest. OK, he's on Skype and you met in a singles room. That means nothing. He could be married, could be anything. The name, age, address, etc., all of it could be fake. He could be married with kids. You can't trust someone you've never met.

How do you know he's not "creepy?"

Get out and meet someone. Someone you can really get to know, in person, hang out with, spend time with, and bring to meet your parents.

Your parents are right on this one.

It's only a 10 hour drive fro Delaware to Ohio, not unreasonable to do in a weekend. They you could ALL meet him.
