My wife of 19 years age 45, has heavy bleeding, she bleeds about 25 days a month. she regularly gets urinary tract infections. She is Asian, so she is very clean. she takes iron pills otherwise she eats ice like a beaver. She wears an adult diaper because she bleeds through pads in, minutes. She was just in hospital; and again had 4 bags of blood put in, yet they still don't know why. Any ideas would be great.
Hi, guest.
This could be a symptom of a condition called Endometriosis, which is a disorder in which tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside of the uterus and attaches to other organs, such as the bladder or intestines. Endometriosis can cause heavy and painful menstrual bleeding, as well as frequent urinary tract infections. Other symptoms may include pelvic pain, abdominal bloating, and infertility.
Treatment for Endometriosis may include medications, hormone therapy, or surgery.
Hope your wife is doing ok now.
