You don't do Morphin before Oxycodone! I had surgery in my lower back for Scoliosis! Yes during surgery I got Morphin

I have on hydrocodone for many years due to the constant pain of an inoperable brain lesion. I stick to a maximum of 4 pills a day (7.5/325 mg), with no dependency problems. It is a Schedule 2 drug, but not hard to get if you follow the rules and are subject to no-notice drug testing.

Honestly, I prefer Tylenol 4 over hydrocodone. It is strong pain relief but much more mild. You'll feel it, but without the dizziness, nausea, and itchiness. Sometimes .5 of one does the trick. I'd recommend trying that! And it's not as red-taped to prescribe.

Agreed! I have osteoarthritis and mj is the ONLY thing that helps. :) I try to stay away from pills because all that sh*t is bad for your liver.

Yep! It's totally freaky! I took Trams because they don't door me up like Vicodin and Oxy... doctors always started me off on the hard stuff after my c- sections and small oral surgery, but switched me to Trams when I complained about feeling high... wasbtakibg the Trams for a number of months due to bulging discs and a kids killing me lifestyle. Anyway just a few weeks ago I came around with five guys standing around in in my bed room and my husband trying to convince me in had a seizure..... weirdest feeling in the world, not knowing or wanting to know, but I think it's the closest to a near death experience as one can get without actually dying.... to make a long story longer, the docs all said it was the tram that did it. I had taken a high dose, but nowhere near OD levels.... that c**p will attack you if you've let yourself be beaten down a bit - not enough sleep, fluids, stress etc or if you're just unlucky and sensitive..... totally sucks. I have a cousin who is addicted to everything who talked an aunt of mine into trying pain patches.... the cousin is crazy and has issues, but my normal aunt spoke with her doc and was able to give them a try at a level right for her pain and she loves them - supposed to have way less baggage attached to these things... if you are looking for pain relief like me - maybe give these a shot, if you're wanting a fuzzy blanket surrounding your brain and your pain... go with opioids.

Regarding Hydrocodone+Tylenol being hard to get, what I think they meant was a long term rx is hard to get now.

I've been given hydrocodone + acetimiphine (Norco) three times in the past 2 years. It's a "go-to" standard pain reliever in American ERs. They only prescribe around a week's worth though, doctors are hesitant to provide LONG-TERM prescriptions. Thankfully it was"just" a kidney stone, pneumonia and a double hernia operation (caused by all the coughing and vomiting of the first two) and nothing long term illness.

Basically anyone going into an ER complaining of pain can walk out with an RX for Norco... but it will only be for 10 pills (that you have to wait at least 6 hours in between to take).

I so agree I have been dealing with pain for years have been on every medication you can name nothing works at least with thr medical marijuana I can get some type of sleep and I don't get nauseous or feel so messed up like the pills that were prescribed had me feeling. I enjoy the medical marijuana tea and edibles since I do not smoke. So believe me it helps go get the medical marijuana and get rid of all the pills they are so bad for you they ruin your body.
