I have his stringy thing on the bottom of my mouth behind my teeth. It's on the way bottom of my mouth. It's very gross and I can move it around with my tongue. I can't really see it in the mirror or anything. Is there any way that I can get rid of this?

This is not fungus, lots of people have it it's normal, all it is is the top layer of skin in your mouth coming off.

Thanks for the information and that is all I use is Colgate with a whitener or Colgate with peroxide. Don't think I had the white strings when I used Crest tatar control etc. Will change toothpaste and see if that helps it ca be embarasing if you have to pull strings from your mouth.

It is due to digestive problem or gastritis. See a gastroenterologist immediately.

Thank you for connecting the dots. I love Crest Pro Health toothpaste. I've been using it for two years and getting the white stringy stuff in my mouth.

My symptoms started when I began using a Waterpik, which lends credence to reports of this being gum tissue that is somehow loosened and rolled up. I'm a mouth breather and believe dryness somehow contributes to the formation of these strings. My dentist and I are unable to see them. I'm will stop using toothpaste unless I can find Pronamel, begin using Biotene products, and rinse with sesame oil.

I and two of my grown children also had this problem until my son said he could only use Close Up toothpaste and it worked for all of us. Don't know what the difference is.
