what is this weird stringy stuff in my mouth?

I, too, have had sticky, white, stringy saliva for many, many months. My hygienist just recommended that I switch from Sensodyne whitening toothpaste to Pronamel, which is manufactured by the same company. Both toothpastes help with sensitive teeth. One brushing with Pronamel last night and my mouth is free of that yucky stuff. Yay!

My 92 year old mom is also bothered by this for at least 6 months now and we have been to three dentists who all day her teeth are fine and can not see any stringy stuff at all!! Only recommended change toothpaste,use biotene products for dry mouth..Nothing is WORKING.
Thank you Ellyn for posting about your mom because my mom says other people must be having the same issue...We are going to try Glyoxide and will post again if this works

I have the white stringy stuff in my mouth for the past couple of days, less than a week. I don't have any other symptoms. I began using listerine mouthwash again around the same time it started. I'm beginning to think it is the mouthwash. I'm going to look for something more natural.

I agree I only get if I use a strong mouth wash. It's definitely skin or the layer of mucous membrane inside the mouth shedding.

You are rinsing your mouth out for to long keep it to one minute as it says on the bottle
I had the exact same thing happen when I rinsed regularly for well over the minute, thinking I was cleaning my mouth more but it cause the problem you mentioned.
Since I reduce the period I keep the mouth wash in my mouth to the correct period, the problem stopped.

To all with the stringy stuff it's not f*****g toothpaste or God damn mouthwash. Its a pericite worm it is transparent. It lives in your gums saliva glands. Today's my first day with them And I'm not to f*****g happy about it going to tell you where you got them from. Potatoes or family dog. Dragging there was around on the carpet. Mine I got from Potatoes. They fertilize the ground with sh*t right bazillion gazillions eggs in the field and they hatch 1 worm in a hour lays 10 To 25 thousand eggs. Potatoes take 3 months till harvest so do the math.. I found mine while I was eating fryed potatoes I added red wine vinager and these like roots started coming out still cooking I like my potatoes crunchy right with onions and bell peppers yummy. Well I ate a good plate full. And then started thinking I DON'T ever remember stringy root in potatoes and got my microscope. Praying it is roots. No it a. f*****g half inch worm with a Sharp pointed black hair like front part I followed the body down to the other end it already had sixty. Or more eggs layed I flipped out disgusted. Stomach started feeling bad next day. I'm thinking tape worms. Today the 4.3.16
It's been twelve days mouth hair feeling. Started today. Research Penn. Worm thread worm. If any law suits get started sign me up twice. (potatoes peeled diced washed twice and fryed) start likein red wine vinegar if you DON'T. Lord save us all.
