I am wanting to get my hood pierced and am curious to know what I should prepare myself for.
Questions:
Has anyone completely lost sensation down there after getting it pierced?
Has it made your sex life better or worse?
What should I expect to see while it's healing?

Obviously I can't relate to female anatomy but this makes my testicles shrink up and try to climb back inside me at the thought of it!
On a scale of 1-10, how bad was the pain?

I would have to rate the pain at about an eight, but it wasn't long-lasting. It was like a pinch--just real quick and DONE!! Thank you for your applause!! :-)

Wow. That is brave... I am THINKING about getting it done for the past 2 years I think, but just can't seem to go through it.... So, congrats - that was very brave from where I stand!
I am more or less aware that it hurts, but I am more afraid of the 'post-operative' part - the healing... what was the healing process like? Ok, the pain is 8 - and how long did it last? 1 week? 2 weeks? was it painful
like when you touched it or all the time?

The pain was very quick. It was only an 8 for like half a second. It was sore for a couple of days after, but only when I wiped and not anything completely unbearable. So I just avoided that area when I wiped. The healing process was overall easy. The only part that is annoying, but it's really not even that bad, is having to wash it. When you get in the shower, you must wash it with antibacterial soap. For me, I had to continue washing it even when the healing process was over because there was an odor if I didn't. But don't let that little annoyance stop you from getting it done. It's a very easy piercing and a very easy healing process!!

Well healing seems to be an easy part. What about your sex life? Has it improved or it is more difficult now?
In one way I've never found attractive pierces in these areas. I don't know way. Maybe because I have never had any experience with it.
What about when you take the pierce out? How long can it stay that way so you don't have problem putting it back?

I really haven't had a change in my sex life. It's not better or worse.
I don't take the ring out. It has accidentally come out one time and stayed out overnight (I was unaware it had fallen out). It was hard for me to put it back in. I had to get someone else to put it back in.
I love it though. If I could go back, I would do it again!!

Hi Linz, you reminded me of the time that I had an eyebrow ring because that happened to me once and it was really painful. I don't think I ever really felt normal with my eyebrow ever again so I think I just took it out because of boredom but you sound a lot happier with yours so I'm glad that it's going well for you. I saw my friend get hers pierced and it was crazy back in college. What exactly made you want to get this done in the first place?

Honestly, my ex boyfriend. We are really great friends still. He is a piercer and he was talking to me one day about how that's what he had been piercing a lot of lately. I really never thought about getting it done until then. I thought about it for a couple of months and was like 'why not?' I mean nobody has to know about it but me and my significant other... I have told a couple of my close friends and my mom, but it's pretty much a secret to everyone else.

I am considering getting it repierced to be honest. I was like 15 and I don't think that I ever really took care of it that carefully so I know it wasn't the piercer's problem, it was just mine. Glad to hear that you like it so much! ANd yes, it is sort of like a secret that you only let a few people know. I like that aspect of it a lot. What kind of stuff did you do to stay clean?

I'm not sure if you're refering to my eyebrow or my hood here, but the answer it pretty much the same for both. Lol. To keep it clean, I just washed it twice a day with antibacterial soap. I found it easier to clean my piercings in the shower, so I just kept my hand soap in there.
I totally suggest getting your eyebrow repierced. It's probably one of my favorite piercings that I have.

Most people usually use the same thing like antibacterial soap. And this works for most of them. As much as I know there are no big complication with eyebrow piercing, if you take care of it in first several days.
Now the other thing is if it fall's out, like it happened to you healthnfitnessguy. I would suggest to pierced it again if you really want it.
