Three days ago, I left the hospital. I was there because of my hip replacement surgery. The procedure passed OK, but I am worrying about something else. My husband found me a nurse. She is coming every day and is helping me recover my movement. She told me that I must take Lovenox as long as I am not able to get out of bed. I didnt get Lovenox as a therapy. Did you get it? When did you start using Lovenox?
I had a knee replacement last year and was using Lovenox until was able to get out of bed. But my doctor prescribed me Lovenox and insisted on using it. This medication is usually used after hip or knee replacement and in any other condition when you must stay in bed. As I can remember, I start using Lovenox almost immediately after my surgery. This medicine is prescribed to prevent deep venous thrombosis, which can be dangerous.
