OK day 4 is much better, diarrhea gone, anxiety still there but is getting better as the day progresses, so I think the physical w/d is slowing down, havent had much in the way of mental w/d I think because I am in the right mindset to do this yayyyyyyy!!! My 3 yr anniversary is coming up on giving up cigarettes as well, so I am pretty pumped about this. If I can give up a 30 yr tobacco habit, I think I can do anything!! I don't have the luxury of taking off work for the w/d so am looking forward to this 3 day 4th of July weekend. I know from past experience in giving up soma's and ambien that it is uphill from here and every day of sobriety is better than the one before. Thank you God for another day. GOOD LUCK to everyone who is on board for this as well!!!

well thats good for you. i have been taking them for 3years every day from the time i wake up til time i go to bed. i take pro 10 ta 15 a day. and when i know i am geting low my body starts goin through the withdraws rite away.its in your head. see your not at the state ware you think you need them to function. i need them just to get out of bed. i would encourage you to stop taking them all together. you really dont need them.and it will only lead to drama and hart ach.if you think your life is bad. try being addicted and tell your doctor about it. then the doctor turns you in for child abuse. i dont have my kids anymore because i misused my perscription drug. the doctor gave me the meds prob knew i was hookt on them but sence i told him he told on me. please stop using the pills if you dont need them.

I sure am I found this forum. This is day 3 of no vicodin and I just when I think it's getting better, whammo, it gets bad again. But from what I read here it seems I'm on the cusp of normalcy. I wasn't taking that many, 3-6 325s a day but I took them for three years. The worst is not sleeping - legs kicking, short spasms. Looking forward to a night with no Ambien. Thanks, everyone.

Well Guys! I'm on day 2 or rather into day 3 as in its past the 55 hour mark since my last pill. I have had some really hard times with this and I am hoping that what I have read is true and that day 4 is alot better. I know this for sure I am not taking anymore of this drug(Narco 10/325 6-10 per day) It is a trouble zone for me right now becuase the pain management appointment is Tuesday and I am debating inn my mind to go and refill or not? I don't want to but the bad times are really bad and I know after taking just one pill I would feel "normal" again. I am in the valley as they say and looking for a way out. Hopefully tomorrow is better. God Bless and see you guys later!

I am completely confused. I am an addict. Taking up to 20-25 10mg norcos a day. I went the
ER the other day for an unrelated issue. I found out I was over dosing on tylenol. I spent 24
hours in the hospital on mucomist and dillaudid every 2 hours. I came home the next day took 35
norcos over the following 36 hours. My last dose was 2 norcos yesterday morning at 530 am.

I have always gotten super sick when I don't have my pills or I try to stop. I expected to get hit with
the withdraw symptoms last night. I got nothing. I am sleepy, and a little lethargic but thats it. I do
not have hot and cold flashes, sweats, anxiety, shakes, stomach issues, i can eat. Could the with
drawls take a little longer to kick in? Or do you think I just got lucky and I'm not going to withdraw?

Please help?

I totally prepared myself for 5 days of hell bought everything I could to combat the symptoms
i knew i would experience but I have nothing yet. I'm worried I'm going to get to day 3 THEN get sick.
Then i'd be screwed because I have to get back to life and wont have the time I gave myself to get
over it.

OK... going to cut through all the bull sh*t on this board...
there are no short answers... hydrodone withdrawal SUCKS!! i have been through it several times.
not going to tell you why! It just sucks!!! you have to have the "WANT TO" to quit.. if you don't you
wont. i have found that tapering off works with the help of crown royal... try it.. it works. when you
feel you are starting to crawl out of your skin... take a shot and get in a really hot shower and scream
, it off!!!

Hey
Im actually on a 7.5/500mg lortab right now.
But any who. Ive been taking all kind of prescrition drugs since I was 16 and I'm now 22.
The most addictive one out of all of them are the lortabs. The only time I would take them is when I got
wistom tooth pulled, or have surgey. Ive been presricved to lortabs or vicotins about 10 different times since
I was 16. Now at the age of 22, I have to buy them off the street from diff people. I usually take about
(5-8) 7.5/ 500mg lortabs a day. No more than 10 a day. They truely are additive but I really dont have
bad withdrawls. Maybe a little body pain, trouble sleeping, anxiety and a bit anti-social
Thats about it. But when I do have those symptoms, the best thing that helps me out is marijuana.
Marijuana helps out alot. Once I smoke a joint, blunt, or bowl, all my thoughts about lortabs leave my mind.
Once I smoke, I usally eat (munches) lol, and go to sleep. And when I wake up the next morning I fell great.
So basically, If your withdrawing from any kind of opiate, I would perfer you to smoke some marijuana.
Trust me, this is coming from a person who has been taking lortabs, oxycodone, xanxax, and valuims
for over 6 years now. And if your worried about losing ur job because of a drug test. I would recommend
buying a bowl or marijuana pipe and taking only 1 or 2 hits of marijuana. Believe it or not, you will not
fail a drug test with just 1 or 2 hits of marijuana. Its happened to me countless of times. The body naturally
produces small amounts of (THC), which is the main ingredient in marijuana. I hope this was helpful information
And to all the pills poppers, pop a pill for me, lol. Smell you guys late...........

Hello.... I will also say please don't take anymore than u do. I( was in a car accident 6 months ago and need to have back surgery, my doc prescribed me the 10/325 Norco and at first I took them as u r now. I should have known better being a recovering drug addict and alcoholic. Now I take as many as 20 a day and have had the withdrawal symptoms start as early as 12 hrs. I'm wanting to get off of them but am scared of going thru this. So far I've only been out for no more than 48 hrs. and it is horrible. Fever, chills, sweats, pain intensified, vomiting diarreah.... HORRIBLE. Please b careful

I am also a Hydrocodone addict. I was prescribed them about 6 years ago. I get a Rx of 150 10/325 tabs per month from my family practioner. I had to sign a narcotic contract. I worry constantly about my next dr. appt because I never have a clean system from smoking pot. I never am able to make my script last an entire month either so I worry I'll get drug tested at my Dr. appt and he'll not only find marijuana but NO hydrocodone...I am in my 1st full day of withdrawal. I take Tramidol which really helps me withdraw easily. I still feel the symptoms, diareah, weak, and the awful cravings....but just not as strong..The Tramidol really allows me to comfortably withdraw. I cannot get another refill until the 24th of the month today is only the 9th...so it's either withdraw or buy them on the street at anywhere from 8-10 dollars a pill. NO WAY..I'll withdraw first. I probably would be ok with my script if I did'nt have every To, penis, and Jane asking me for a pill. I am a pushover, and other addicts know it and hit me up for a pill here and a pill there and pretty soon, i am without. These people never have anything to offer back. My advice to myself and others just get clean and get your life back...that's what going to try to do. I wish you all the best and hope you feel the same.

Not much you can take that will do the trick. I've started to drink Amp energy drinks and sometimes Claritin allergy medicine seems to give me a lift. Tramadol is good. Alot of caffeine drinks.
