Okay so i had sexual intercourse on the 14th of july. He did not ejaculate inside of me. we used the "pull out method" which i know is not a good form of birth control. We did not use protection. A couple days went by and i started to get really bad cramps and my breasts were very sore. I thought i was about to start my period. On the 24th i started spotting. But it was different from any other period i've had. I do usually get my period around the 24th and 28th and usually lasts for 7 days and is usually heavy. This time it was very light sort of a pinkish color and one of the days it was somewhat red/brown. 4 days later it stopped(which was yesterday). Like i said this is not normal for me. I am still having some cramping and my nipples are still somewhat sore. I also have little bumps on and around my areolas. Also when i get up in the morning i feel somewhat dizzy. Could i be pregnant?
You could well be pregnant. It is possible for sperm to be released before he withdraws. Also, sperm have been known to travel from near the entrance of the vagina even wthout penitration. It is very early days though, so hold fire for about a week, then go get a pregnancy tester. This should give you a good reading by then, if you are pregnant. It is very common to get 'spotting' in the early stages. This is often mistaken for a period. Please do not be nervous about going to see your doctor, you will not be judged honestly.
Thank you. I will wait another week. Do you think a blood test would be accurate by now? I am also having headaches before i go to bed. And my stomach always feels like it is empty.
I've been having lower back pains too.
A blood test would only be accurate now if your hormone levels were sufficiently high, which is unlikely. Your doctor would be reluctant to do any blood tests now. A simple urine test in a week should give you a result, but if it is negative, try again the next week. If this is still negative, I doubt you are pregnant. When you say you tummy feels empty, this could also be due to the hormones. You could get headaches due to hormones too, but are you eating properly. Headaches before bed are often stress related or low blood sugar from not eating for hours. Also drink about five pints of water a day. Being dehydrated can give you headaches too. If these persist after taking my advice, then you must see your doctor and tell him you might be pregnant. He needs to monitor you.
Again, this could be your hormones. Are they accopmpanied by period pains?
Yes i have been having period pains. But i already had my period. It started on the 24th and ended on the 28th. It came 4 days early and ended 4 days early. But it was very light pinkish/brown and for one day it was brown/red but very thin.
i meant to say it ended after four days
So the pain in my stomach has died down. But i am still having very small pains. This morning around 11 30 i felt very dizzy. It was off and on throughout the day. Now it has stopped. I did have a headache that was off and on this morning too. I took my temp. and it said 99.1. I am very tired. And i have noticed that my breasts have veins on them that i have never seen before.
Oh sweetheart you seem to be going through everything at the moment. Don't worry, the temperature is ok, but if it gets to over 100.4, then go to the doctors. Is it possible for you to take a duvet day tomorrow, and stay in bed or on the sofa all day?. I think you need complete rest for at least 24 hours. Drink lots of fluids and eat healthily, then get back to me about how you are feeling. If you are still feeling unwell in three days, I want you to take the pregnancy test after this time ( earlier than I said before). I think you are worrying and this is making matters worse. Chill out and watch some movies - play computer games, anything to take your mind off this and relax you. I do know what you are going through, I had an unplanned pregnancy at 18yrs old. You do not say how old you are, but it's a shock at any age, when you are not expecting it. You know what though, this is all consistent with normal hormonal fluctuations that any women can experience without being pregnant. Please keep in touch.
Thank you so much. Last night i took a bath and had some soup. Took 2 Tylenol's. This morning i felt better the pains in my stomach are not really there anymore. But i still feel some pressure. My temp. was 100.3 this morning. My breasts are not too sore anymore but they feel very sensitive. And my back still aches. I am making a doctors appointment for tomorrow.
I am glad you rested, and are feeling a little better. I also think you are doing the right thing by seing your doctor - I hope you get some answers. Let me know how you got on.
I do not have a fever anymore. Temp went back down to 98.8. But i am still having small pains in my abdomen. I could not make an appointment for today. But the doctor said to come in tomorrow. My breasts are still sore. Thank you so much for your advice. I will keep you posted.
I am so gad you are feeling a bit better, I will look forward to hearing how you got on tomorrow
