Hi! I have one question about cataract. I think that I got it. I didn't go to my eye doctor yet, but I'm pretty sure about this. I know how it looks like because my mother had it. I will probably need to go to surgery. So when do I get operated for cataract, if I have it?
You will be given some different eye drops after your operation. Probably two or three types of drops and you should use these for next several months. They will help your eye to heal properly after surgery. In the non-operated eye you probably can continue with drops that you were using previously.
Hallo,
Well the cataract is a condition that can be fixed with surgery. But in milder cases your doctor will most likely tell you to wear some glasses. The fact is that you will lose the ability to see clearly in time and the glasses are just temporary solution which will not be permanent. You really have to talk to your doctor about the stages of cataract because many people are afraid of surgery and try to do the alternatives. How long have you had this? My suggestion would be to take a surgery and get rid of the problem for long period of time. I hope this helped a bit.
All the best to you,
Karen
