I understand that smoking is bad for my health and that I shouldn't do it in general but I would like to know when I could possibly have a cigarette after my gallbladder has been removed. I assume that since it was removed at around 11 o'clock on the same day I am posting this that now isn't the best time to have one.

But if I can have some answers here I would be extremely happy and very very thankful.

Thank you for the help and answers!
I understand that you are probably chomping at the bit right now because having a cigarette would feel so good and help quite a bit. You are right--today is not the day to have a cigarette. I think it might be a really good idea to talk to your doctor about some nicotine gum or a patch while you are recovering so that you can get your fix while you are recovering because that would be ideal. If you are going to smoke, you may need to wait up to a week, at least, before you can safely do so... Does anyone else know?
