You really can't choose the sex of your baby.
Normally you'd ovulate between days 11 and 16 of your cycle, so the 22nd to the 27th.
Ideally you'd have sex just before (the 20th is fine) and again in another day or two. Sperm can survive UP TO about 5 days. The egg is only viable for about 48 hours.
Even then, the odds of pregnancy are only about 20%. It can take up to a year of regular intercourse before you become pregnant.
