THANK YOU!!!! I had the white bump in the back of my throat that felt like something was stuck in there for about a week, it was driving me crazy. The Hydrogen peroxide trick worked, even though it was pretty unpleasant. Thanks for the info about it causing a major gag reflex too, glad I hadn't eaten to recently before doing this, yuck! You saved me an hour trip to our family doc that always ends up being an all day event and 40$, Thank you, Thank you!!!!

Hi everybody. You don't understand how relieved I am to I am not the only one with this thing. I can't remember if I have gotten this before. But I recently just got one again and I was freaking out like no other. And reading your comments made me feel soo much better. Except I am like really scared to try these things out I can't make myself vomit let alone try to flick something off in the back of my throat. I realized my throat was drying up yesterday and I happened yo have woken up with one. And now that I know it's there and it's bothering me. I feel like I have to swallow every 2.5 seconds. If I don't touch it, is that a bad thing? Or do i have to get rid of it ASAP? And what if I happen to somehow accidentally swallow it. What happens then? I'd really appreciate feedback. Hydrogen Peroxide is what mom uses to disinfect open wounds and it stings, the brown bottle. Anyway I read this post and summoned the courage to deal with the gagging and sure enough it worked. I too was sooo scared that it was something worse but I would still recommend checking frequently just in case.

HP thing worked wonderfully!!!! I have these from time to time also and never knew what they were until today, And I always get so annoyed with these tonsil stones and try to hack them up all day for like 3 days before they come out.. but when I tried the HP thing it worked almost instantly. 1-2mins and I have a very sensitive gag reflex so yeah it will more than like make you gag... other than that worked great!

I was so worried, I instantly thought it was like an HPV throat wart or something godawful, but I poked it with a damp q-tip (fewer tongue fuzzies) and it came off. I almost puked though because it kind of fell down my throat, but I gagged and gargled and it came up. Was hard-ish and yellowish and most definitely caused by food. I recommend angling your head down so it will fall out, not down your throat if at all possible. Thanks for the info guys, it was awesome.

watch this carefully I just watched a show about this on Dr Oz, HPV causes throat cancer I had NEVER heard that before. I knew about women getting cancer in female organs but never mouth cancer. if you have a white or a red bump in your mouth or on under the tongue whatever get it screened for cancer if it lasts longer than 10 days. when you go to the dentist make sure they do a good check for cancer as Dr Oz says if they are not wrapping your tongue with gauze to take it from side to side to look they are not checking ASK them to do it each time. The life you save will be your own. no need to die from something easily scraped off . hugs.

i found that white stuff this morning and i was so scared!!! im only 13 and i had no idea what to do, as i would i was thinking it could be throat cancer and i started getting myself all worked up :/ i tryed to get it out with a lollypop stick but i kept on chocking and gagging so i have told my mum and we have booked an appiontment at the doctors for Monday x

I had some white bumps in the back of my throat, they looked like grains of rice, my throat did'nt hurt much but was freaking me out a little, I dealt with them for 2 weeks and finally got the courage to go to the doctor, he said it was a bacterial infection and prescribed some amoxicillin, so far I have only used 3 pills of the 20 and it is clearing up. I also talked to my brother that knows alot about medical issues after going to the doctor, he knew what it was and said it was bacteria that grow from having to much sugar in your diet (not sure if this is right but sounded possible because I drink alot of pop and monster drinks) anyway, he said I could have just gotten garlic tablets at the store, "Natures Bounty" has some he said and it will fight off the bacteria. Just wanted to let anyone that has these symptoms know so they don't panic like I did.

I had this same thing....except there was a bit of pain associated with mine. but after i removed it and used mouthwash with alcohol in it on a q-tip instead of peroxide, i was cured immediately!
