I had the same thing to happen. I squeezed some yesterday and alot, like you guys said, white and black deodorant type stuff came out. well I wasn't satisfied. I got my cousin to squeeze it for me, she got some tweezers and went to work. A large black head type thing, I MEAN LARGE, came out and note it's fine. Left a small hole under my arm tho, but it feels better

Omg yes this has been happening to me as well and when I try to explain it to my family they think I'm over reacting but I have the same concerns as to what is causing it :/

That is a blocked pore. Common under the arm pit where hair grows.

Thank goodness for this last comment! None of you who suggested that it was something to do with lymph nodes are correct. The sebaceous glands and pores in the under arm are especially susceptible to clogging. Deodorants and antiperspirants can cause this to happen. Most people aren't aware that this occurs until it becomes a firm bump or becomes irritated. It's important to unclog these pores and keep them clean and if you can identify which deodorant continually causes this to happen avoid the use. A warm compress with tea tree oil can help decongest especially large or painful clogged pores. The substance inside is simply the content of the deodorant or anti-perspirant you're using. If, however, you find any suspicious lumps that feel deep set, are unusual in size or color, or cause severe pain please consult a Doctor as this could be an indication of a severe condition. I have the same thing in both arm pits. Its weird because I had one in the right arm for a few years now and it fills up every once in a while. Then in the left arm pit I recently found another one and it easily poped when squeezed and a thick white paste came out. I have always wondered what this is.

Same thing here. Small blackheads under my arm, once squeezed, produced a long white deodorant-like pus-smelling strand. This is caused by using anti-perspirant deodorant rather than using deodorant that's labeled just 'deodorant' (not anti-perspirant deodorant). You can find these at your local organic food market.

I have the same thing.. well did.. all u really gotta do is drain on the white stuff out and the bump will go away when its all drained. And believe me it will take a bit. Depending on the size of the bump.. its pretty gross. eww and doesn't smell to friendly. But it went away..

THIS JUST HAPPENED TO ME. i was freaking out but not so much anymore. i havent seen any hair come out or any black stuff. just white deordant type solids.

Never saw anything but felt a lump. Felt like a piece of gravel about the size of a large pea and had rough edges. Started squeezing it and pretty soon had a whitish looking excretion that seemed to just be never ending. After a couple of weeks now, size has diminished, but it's still there and still has "substance" in it.

One day I noticed what looked like a pimple on my arm pit. I squeezed it and a lot of white-deodorant like stuff came out. It was a lot but the thing that really surprised my was the strong odor of BO. Every couple of months I press on that spot and when I feel the under the skin lump, I squeeze, and the same thing happens. I should also mention that I seem to sweat more on the right side than the left and that is were I find the lump. I think that it is an open pore that collects sweat and deodorant over time and I have to release it when I feel the lump.. Gross, I know.

Just had this happen today. I saw what I thought was a huge black head, squeezed and deodorant like white stuff came out. I googled to see what it could be, & I came across this message board. It wasn't painful and after it getting it all out, the little bump was gone. I do use a deodorant bar daily. Sounds like this is common, for now I'll just keep an eye on it.

I've grown use to it now its really left a black mark under my arm so don't squeeze it often i'm lighter skinned so when I were shirts with no arms it's unattractive

I've also had this happen but haven't thought much of it. Just keep squeezing the gross white stuff out. Don't really know what else to do. I also sweat a lot, especially in my armpits.

I've had this exact experience happen as well. I used to wonder why when I use a body puff to wash under my arms, as soon as I would put my arm down and then lift it up again- it appeared as dry as though I didn't touch the area at all!

What I believe it to be is years of deodorant clogging your pores. That's the reason for the white substance behind what appears could be a "black head". That "black head" is just the part of the area that is exposed and with you sweating, skin, and friction, it has become dark. But the part that is enclosed in your pores is still white. The only thing (I'm assuming) you put under your arms IS the white deodorant you've used every day.

I'm still looking on a resolution on how to exfoliate the area and even considering a consultation with a physician for further answers b/c I'm clueless as to how to stop it. It's made my underarms appear dark and I don't like wearing tanks because of it.
