I've only noticed them since moving to a humid climate from a very dry climate. I never had them until I got a breast reduction, and only have them on my abdomen and breasts. They are so ugly, they look like micro freckles almost. I can pull it out, no pain and no inflammation. I have recently got my IUD removed and know that I have copper toxicity, so I am cleansing my body; which is one reason they could be seemingly worse right now.

I have them too. But mine is usually just on the bottom and sides of my breasts. So I thought it was because of my bra rubbing. I have never been pregnant or breast fed. I have no idea why I have them but I would love to find out why I have them.

I have them growing in my stretch marks I had a look online and a lady suggested it had to do with chicken skin is the popular term forgot the official name its the bumps you get on your arms and legs I think it has something to do with the skin being stretched and the hair follics joining together

Red blood cells help create collagen, which are tough, white fibers that form the foundation for new tissue. Found this on Medlineplus on how wounds (stretch marks) heal. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/patientinstructions/000741.htm

They have always been around the stretch marks on my hips. If I wear tight fitting jeans it rubs where these fibers are and then cause a sore to appear.

Has anyone tried castor oil packs with tea tree oil. I have recently noticed my immune system cannot fight off the demuxed mite like most people do and since dealing with them this condition has popped up. I use castor oil and tea tree on my head to keep them under control and sometimes on my face and have had to start using them on my breasts as I have the same thing. They don't see to come back as fast and its easiest to pluck them after a shower. Pluck, put the castor/tea tree mix on and go. If you don't like tea tree smell you can use lavender or eucalyptus. peppermint works well too. Use about 1-2ml of essential oil per 2 ounces of castor oil.

So I just finished this entire thread and for me personally I do not think it's anything that's been mentioned. I have read extensively about them all and while a lot of these have some things in common if you read everything about them well for me it's just not it. I'm 37 and noticed them about 5 years ago. I used to think they were just like some sort of ingrown hair.mi need to ask my doctor. One of the things I definitley agree on is hormones! I produce way too much estrogen and actually just had to be put of medication to stop me from making estrogen. I'm also anemic and ferritin deficient and messing with them makes them red and bruise :( the skin there is so soft when I exfoliate that area looks like I have hickeys every where. Ohhh I do have very dry skin though, and I know I don't drink enough water.

I just noticed these on my husband last night and it freaked me out. After I pulled one out and got a good look at it - it reminded me of a tiny feather. He's a 50yr old Black male, about 50 lbs. overweight, with a few slight stretch marks on his chest near his underarm. I saw about 25 extremely short straight black hairs and when I pulled one out with a tweezer - there was no resistance, it just slipped right out. They're about 1/8" long (or less), totally white (except the part that was exposed), and upon closer inspection the end has approx 5 - 8 hairs that fan out - just like a feather. From what I've found they appear to be common with stretch marks and nothing to worry about. He actually thinks it's funny.

I have always used tampons and noticed them about 4 years ago(3 years after starting with tampons) . I have not used tampons scince before my pregnancy and my daughter is 10 months old and I still have them. I don't think that tampons could be the reason
