I would like to know how long it lasts. Mine was on Monday and today has been the worst day. Seems to be getting worse. Don't know if that's normal with ovarian cysts and polyps.

Has anyone found the answer to this yet? I am just starting to research it after waking to pain from yesterday's procedure. I assumed this would be the link to click on for answers. Guess I will continue my search. Good luck ladies!

Thanks so much for the info. I too am gay and a virgin to men as well. I went for a pelvic exam and the doctor had to stop because i was too tight. I have never used tampons and feel stupid too. Well now om going for the vag ultrasound and i am concerned. Why would the doctor send me knowing how much pain i was in during her exam.

I am having similar issues. I had an internal ultrasoud and two days later I felt like I had to go to the bathroom constantly. It wasn't so bad at first and almost a week later I was going to the bathroom every 15-30 min but I was going quite a bit not like a UTI at all. It was coming out clear but I had a sample taken just to make sure I didn't have a UTI. The results also came back negative. I have no idea what is going on. One minute I'm fine and he next I'm going to the bathroom multiple times. Did you get any relief or results yet? I go to the Dr in a couple days.

Endometriosis will cause this.

I had a trans ultrasound today and it was incredibly painful during it. So much so that afterwards I asked for time to lay down as I felt like I was going to faint and get sick. The technician was not very sympathetic towards me and wouldn't answer any of my questions. But I did see marks on the screen so there must be something wrong but she wouldn't tell me anything. I have to wait to see my doctor now. I am so emotional after it all and in a lot of pain afterwards.

I have gone for ultrasound twice. The fist time my Dr though I had a cyst. The ultrasound procedure was painful everytime the press on my tummy or touch the walls. After few days I was still in pain and decided to go to the hospital and they found that I got an urinary infection. Please make sure that the tools they use are completely desinffected. Ask to do it again because they will use it for the next client.
Anyways, they worsen the cyst.
Second time I went it was after a treatment to check if it was still there. I have done it yesterday afternoon and it was again, painful. I started having fever during the night. My tummy got swallowed and I couldn't sleep because of the pain.
I think they use not complete sanitize tools and they can worsen your problem.
I don't know what to do anymore

I got the same problem with transvaginal ultrasound. It was really painful . The tech came probing back n forth to look for better view. I told her it was hurting a lot. She kept ignoring me and said it wasn't that bad. I wanted to punch her. Even though I'm an MD myself but still I wish there are better less painful procedure to diagnose problems

I have had two painful ones awake and yesterday had one under GA. It turns out that the pain I have inside is due to lack of oestogen and have cuts on surface of vaginal wall which is why tampons and sex have been a no no for the last 10 years. Countless female drs have not picked this up but a male gynae dr did. Unbelieveable. He said I need oestrogen cream for a month and this should clear this up but may need to re-use it from time to time. All this pain, all this time and such an easy solution.
