Well bummer, I was hopeful that your sesamoiditis was almost healed, but it sounds like you'll be working through it a little longer. Fascia is a weird thing, maybe other areas are tweeked now, but I'm no expert on the subject. Hopefully your doctor is able to adjust your foot again to bring down your pain level. Please keep us posted, I'll be thinking about you. TSR
TSR-- when you had your FDM session, do remember your pain level on a scale of 1-10? The reason I ask is that my first session last Friday was more uncomfortable rather than painful and my foot felt like it was almost going to get better, but by Monday it was the same old pain. I see my doctor again tomorrow for my 3rd appointment and I am going to ask if she could treat my foot more aggressively to see if it will help speed the healing process. I am wondering if your visit was uncomfortably painful or eye watering painful. Thanks for your feedback--dg
Oh my goodness, I don't think I'll ever forget how painful it was. Like yelling out loud painful, literally. Even though the "rock" feeling was gone, I still had trouble walking on my right foot because of the lingering pain from the FDM treatment. I had a second FDM session, but it was barely uncomfortable, since the initial visit fixed my foot. My foot was still painful for a while after my treatments, especially with exercise, which was disheartening. But it gradually improved, over the course of a few months. To answer your question, my pain level was probably a 9, seriously. My physical therapist was pushing on my sesamoid area with all his strength. But it was definitely worth the pain. I sincerely hope you find some relief, I totally understand how frustrating sesamoiditis can be.
Finally please inform us... You overcome sesamoiditis via FDM?
Yes, I'm completely better, because of FDM. No pain at all, I can run, exercise, whatever I want, my foot is 100% back to normal again. It took a few months to get my strength back, I had to work through a little pain, but yes, I'm cured. TSR
I live in Greece and im curious where could i find this specific technique called FDM...! I will just call chiropractors...
Zeovani-- physical therapists and chiropractors turned up in my search for "certified" FDM therapists.
Unfortunately i turned to FDM therapists and i could find anything in Greece...
Did you have a simple sesamoiditis or a fracture?
Thank you! Like you said I was getting depressed reading all the complaints. Reading about your success has given me hope.
TSR-- had my 3rd treatment of FDM yesterday. I asked if she treat a little more aggressively and maybe a little deeper and she said she would do so but on her own judgement in case it turns out to be something else or more serious. After 15 minutes I could tell she was making progress and it hurt like crazy!!! I wanted her to stop but knew I needed the calcium deposits broken up. I tolerated it with deep breathing and not looking at what she was doing. After a back and hip adjustment I stood up and amazingly I was able to walk up further on the ball of my foot since last week. I do the prescribed exercises and take the anti-inflammatories as suggested. Today, I am able to get around pretty good and feel like progress was made yesterday. I can walk more upright and normal and put more of weight on my right foot. I am committed to healing this inflammation within 2 more treatments so I can shop for my wedding dress and maybe even be able to wear super cute shoes in November. Lots going on and I need my walk back!!
I will now express my MINI experience in TECAR Therapy.

DG-Great news! I sincerely hope FDM works wonders for you too. I'm curious, how long have you had sesamoiditis? Do you know how you developed it? Any particular activity, shoes, etc? I looked back on the post & saw one with a description of the poster's affliction, but I wasn't sure if that was you. How are you doing now? I seriously had pain in the sesamoid area for weeks after the first FDM session. So much so I questioned whether I was actually improving. Looking back, I think it was just residual from the FDM itself. TSR
TSR- sorry it's been a while since my last post. I am pretty sure it started from wearing the wrong shoes to work a ranch with uneven terrain and course gravel. In hindsight
