Hey there, im a 17 year old male(straight) from ireland. About 3-4 months ago i had unprotected sex with a girl who sleep sabout quite a bit. I was tested at 2 or 2.5 months which was really stressfull, especially waiting for results. The results where negative but i still worry, i was even told at the clynic i was at basically no risk. But i keep thinking i am showing symptoms. I get very mild headaches a lot, i think i feel more tired(not sure though) and my appetite was got smaller. My toungue also has a pale yellow coating but i researched this and i dont think its a symptom, more to do with smoking. Please tell me its me being stupid:)
Hi Jakeee,

You're not being stupid. You're concerned about yourself because you understood what can happen.

You've been tested, that's good. My understanding is that almost everybody that is infected would have the antibody in 3 months. You might be a bit early but the clinic can tell you exactly how soon it can be detected.

I do agree with what the clinic told you.

The headaches could be from lots of things including worrying about this or even the smoking. Talk to your doctor or someone you trust about this.

Good luck and next time, use a condom!
