Hi, my son is allergic to many things and very often he feels symptoms like sneezing, swelling and his eyes are red. Several days ago he also experienced similar symptoms but also he got fever too. I would like to know if fever may be caused by allergy. Thank you very much.
Hi, allergy is basically inflammation. It is not caused by some virus or bacteria but anyway it is inflammation. Fever is not so frequent sign of allergy but it may be present in some situation. However it would be good to visit doctor with your son but it is possible that fever may be reaction on allergy.
Well,
I know that allergies are very problematic and that there are different manifestations of different allergies. For instance you might have problems with breathing as well with the vision, but in most cases you will notice swelling along with sweating. As you can see fever is not something that you won’t have when you have an allergic reaction but you probably will have more symptoms along with the fever. As you already experienced with you allergy your swelling and sneezing are also problems caused by allergy. Have you been using any medication to suppress the allergy? I hope that this was helpful in any possible way and that you won’t have more problems with allergy.
Good luck,
Karel
