I'm 17 and I have struggle with breakouts on my back for the past few years. My face is clear, I only get and ocasional zit or two on it. I have tried different acne cleansers and what not on my back and some will help a little but eventually the acne comes back even if im countinuing using the cleanser. I have also been on birth control which cleared it up, but I also started gaining weight so I stopped taking it because I'm very self concious about my weight. My acne is mild to moderate. I've read through all the side effects of accutane, so I'm aware of the risks, I just want someones opinion before I make my desicion. Would you recommend accutane for me?
I took it and it has helped me but I wouldn't recommend Accutane for your case. You have said "My face is clear" but the problem are "breakouts on back". No one has seen you so no one can give you good advice via forum to take it or not, the only way is to ask dermatologist because he or she would know what's best for you.
