I recently had unprotected intercourse with a 46yr old man who has had a vasectomy. Thinking nothing was amiss I got my period the other day but it lasted for only 2 days and was heavy. The lst time that happened to me was when I was 23 and found out I was pregnant. I am 37 now. What is the liklihood I am pregnant?
How successful was the vasectomy? How long ago was it and did he ever go for the follow up testing?
If he did, and it came back free of sperm, then your chances are very slight. In rare cases the vasectomy itself can fail.

As long as he really did have a snip-snip, the chances are about zero.
I was married when I got mine cut 36 years ago and all the guys joked about how I was free to go have a ball, which I certainly didn't. However it occurred to me that any girl I might have hooked up with would have certainly been pretty foolish to take my word for it. If I WAS cheating on my wife why wouldn't I lie about the snip job too? How would they know if I had it done? You don't get a certificate or a wallet sized card with your picture on it from the doctor!!!!!!

Thank you both. I have been led to believe that it was tried and tested, the vasectomy that is. To @njoynlife too true! He had been married, so he said, and since divorced but something didn't sit right. Thank you both for replying :-)
