IIRC, blood pregnancy tests are less accurate/about the same as urine tests. Your doctor would probably avoid giving you a more painful and hassle filled blood test in exchange for an equally reliable urine test for that reason.

Hi i am going through the same thing. Im not sure if you want to be pregnant but my bf and i have been trying for a year. I am close to almost 6 weeks with not having a period. I took a pregnancy test yesterday in the afternoon and it came out negative. It was a real bummer but i still cant figure out why i have missed my period this month ? i have a very regular period, maybe a couple days late but never 2 weeks late.
