Hello. I'm 20 years old, and I have more than a few questions about my penis that I've never had answered.

Some context: In addition to being 20 years old (21 in September), I am not circumcized. I also have never masturbated in my life. When I was a baby, I had surgery to remove one of my testicles because it didn't drop (I think thats what happened). Regardless of the actual reasons, I had surgery and have lived basically my entire life with 1 working testicle.

Now, for my questions...

  • I have never masturbated. I've been told that I should be having wet dreams anyway, which is how my body would expel cum without masturbation. But I can't say this really ever happens, or happened. However, when I go to sleep having consumed water beforehand, I do wake up to... something? I don't know what it is. It's not just pee stains, it's definitely not semen. It's like, small crystal looking pieces that sometimes seem sticky, but they're clear and see through, not white. I don't know what this is. Is this normal, or cause for concern?
  • Also, should I be masturbating? I feel like I've never really had a strong sex drive. Sure, my parents discouraged talking about it, but if I wanted to, that wouldn't have stopped me anyway. I've just never been able to muster the will to try and masturbate, and certainly never felt the need.
  • I feel confused about what an erection is? So like, I know that that's when the penis gets hard, but sometimes I just get randomly hard... for no reason. Like, there's no stimulation or whatever, it just fluctuates and becomes hard. I thought, as a teen, this was due to hormones being wack, but it's still happening to me to this day.
  • I know size isn't concrete, but mine fluctuates wildly. When I'm flaccid, I'm REALLY flacid. Like, maybe 2 inches... I think it's been as small as 1 in before. When it's erect (or hard? again... confused about erection) it's like 6 and a half in tall and an in thick. Again, is this normal?
  • This is particularly embarassing, but my hygeine was horrible for... well basically ever since I was like 13. Yeah, I had a lot of smegma until recently. I've only recently started cleaning on a regular basis. While I can mostly get the smegma on my actual penis head (though it looks like the penis head has smegma stained into it near the tip), I don't know how to clean the inner skin that is coated in a light layer of smegma. When I clean my penis, it's always flaccid. If I try to pull back when its hard, it just gets smaller in a short moment. This makes it hard to clean properly, and made worse by my pubic hair which gets in the way. What's a better way to go about this, if any? Am I doing anything wrong? Also, I've had terrible smegma for the better half of a decade. Will this have any significant impact on me for the future?
  • Oh, also, when I do get hard, the skin on my head doesn't go back and reveal the inside penis head. I thought it was supposed to? This is part of why I'm confused when I get hard, am I even really getting erections or was I mistaken?

I think thats most of my questions. Sorry if thats a lot, but like I said, I've never gotten answers for these, and was poorly educated on my body in this context (both school and parents did the bare minimum). As I'm now living on my own, I feel like these are things I need to know about but don't know how to go about it. I've googled most of these but didnt really get clear answers. Thanks in advance.

1. Not all guys have wet dreams, the crystal like stuff you talk about is it slimy to the touch?

2. Masturbation is up to you if you want to try it, no one can tell you to do it.

3. It's perfectly normal for guys to get random erections as you are.

4. The only size you need to think about is erect size and yours is fine.

5. The best way to clean smegma off is when you take a bath, just pull your foreskin back and let it soak then rub it gently.

6. Most guys think the same thing about the foreskin that it should automatically retract when you get an erections but it really depends on how tight it is and how long it is, some guys that have short foreskin it will retract to expose some of the glands when erect but a majority of guys have to retract it back manually.

If you can't pull it back when you get an erection you just need to work on doing some stretching exercises where by you pull it back as far as you can and hold it for a minute then repeat 10 times at least twice a day and you should notice a difference in a month.
