Omeprazol did the trick for me. I had this abdominal pain for 3-4 years every night destroying my life.
Doctor said it might be reflux and I should try it out and it saved my life

Some drugs used for acid reflux may expose one to a risk of kidney failure according to a report released April 2016.

Same thing! They feel like menstrual cramps. A heating back to my lower back sometimes helps or if I force a bowel movement, but after a few hours the pain comes back like a vengeance. No symptoms during the day???

My Husband suffered from this terrible pains in his organs for years. He would wake up normally around 3-4am unable to sleep and would have to get up and walk around. After trying so many different things I came up with him sleeping on a foam wedge to Alleviate him up on a angle, and it worked, its a bit weird sleeping next to someone a little higher then I am, but to have him sleeping though the night with no pain at all is worth it.

I've been going through the same thing for over a year. Horrible lower abdominal pain that wakes me up 2-3 times a night. I've had every possible test done and again got the standard diagnosis of IBS. It's become intolerable. I'm hoping someone posts an answer to this misery.
