I also have this problem randomly, maybe 3 or 4 times a year. An arching pain starting from the surface of my belly button and arching through to the end of my penis. It usually happens when I have a full bladder, and it hurts to urinate when this happens. It hurts to move my core too quickly or to bend backwards. As long as I stay hunched over, the pain is completely gone.

Well I'm glad I'm not alone on this cuz the last time I went to the doctor he just kept looking at me like I was crazy. Since I'm having that ghost pain right now let me share you my experience.
I'm 30 years old and I've had this pain probably since I was 10, it's a pain that comes out of nowhere sometimes I'm doing physical activity, sometimes it comes from doing a quick movement, sometimes it comes from just sitting down and sometimes like right now from closing the trunk of my car so in my opinion it doesn't matter what you're doing this ghost pain will come and get you. For me it's just like some of you describe, a sharp pulling pain coming from the back of my belly button all the way to my penis as long as I don't move too much I don't feel it but if I start moving or twisting boom!! It makes me curl into a ball but the worst part is when I have to pee cuz once my bladder empties the pain gets so bad that I have to stop and leave the last drops of pee inside.
I've seen many man doctors and let me tell you something it's not an umbilical hernia I had surgery for that and the pain didn't go away. It's not the urachus either I've also had surgery to check that and it's in perfect condition, it's not remnants of the umbilical chord, they found those on my first surgery and they removed them but the pain came back a couple of months later, it's not interintestinal cystitis I went to the gastroenterologist and he couldn't find anything, remember when I told you that doctors look at me like I'm crazy? Well this is why, they've checked everything but that damn pain just as it comes out of nowhere it disappears in a couple of hours.
I saw a reply from one of you that it could be related to masturbating or having sex and I also thought this was related however this is what I found out. I seriously thought this could be the cause so and I'm not kidding I stopped masturbating and having sex for like 3 months and guess what the pain came after me by the end of month 3, also one day I was driving with my current girlfriend and the pain got me when I was climbing out the car, couple hours passed like 4 or 5 and my gf wanted to have sex so I though what the hell I'm feeling better now I'll just be careful and guess what no pain when I ejaculated the pain was just gone so I can probably tell you that maybe it's not related to sex or masturbating.
I do however have noticed that sometimes when I masturbate a feeling of having to pee stays there for a couple of hours despite the fact that my bladder is almost empty but I don't get the actual ghost pain that we get.
So as you can see this is a pain in the ass nobody can tell me what it is or give me a diagnosis and tbh this has affected my life cuz I live with the fear of not knowing when it will come, if it's going to be on a vacation, in the middle of a Rollercoaster ride or swimming in the lake and making me drown cuz as you all know it's a pain that almost knocks you out. I hope this might help you but I'm always carrying two pills of Dorixina Relax that one of my doctors gave me and it helps a lot with the pain and sometimes it makes it go away after 3 or 4 hours.

I just started having this pain. It feels like a intense tingling in my belly button it goes straight down to my penis sometimes. usually it is just a tingling in my belly button sustain around the area of the belly button. I just had back surgery and I don't know what to make of this... driving me crazy. I'm about to slap the sh*t out of somebody.

I might be to late for some, but I get the belly button and penis pain. Lately I get left leg pain with it. The more I piss it off the more the leg throbs. I had an ultrasound after 5 years of being called a lier and wuss. My doctor had a 25 year radioligist do the ultrasound. He found a urachal cyst. Vendication is so sweet! When irratated the cyst can press/push on nerves causing pain in different areas. Hope this helps. Surgery is normally the best treatment for permanent relief.

I have exactly the same problem but I do drink a lot of water... I mean a lot. Does it occur due to indigestion ? It's been a day since my stomach was fine now after indigestion ,yet my belly button pain hasn't faded even the slightest.
